Wow! This home was awesome. Home was within walkable distance to shops and restaurants. It had all the amenities we could want. No air conditioning but we just kept the windows open at night to let the Hawaiian air flow through the house. Pool was outstanding. Definitely a place we would rent again.
Absolutely beautiful property & serene location, the back deck and pool were a highlight for our stay. The location can’t be beat, very close proximity to so many restaurants, beaches, and hiking. Parrish and team were always responsive and helpful to questions. Will stay with Parrish again!

Very Nice Home
This home is extremely clean and well laid out for families. It is every bit as nice as the photos and well stocked for a family vacation. The proximity of the lanai and pool to the main area of the house is super convenient. The management company was attentive and the process was smooth for check in and out. We had a very relaxing stay and would highly recommend .
My family of seven rented the Halalii Place home July 5-15, (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) It appeared to have everything we needed to accommodate our large family. Our ten night stay total price was $ (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) teen years ago, I lived on Kauai for seven and half years. I’m very familiar with the weather and completely understand most homes do not have AC units. So I felt very comfortable renting a home without AC. However, once we got settled in and unpacked, we realized the home was unbearably hot! All windows and doors were open, and all ceiling fans were on. There was NO breeze. The air was stagnant. It was MISERABLE! After the first sleepless night I reached out to Parrish Kauai asking for relief. They delivered four fans that did nothing more than move the very hot air around. My family and I purchased more fans and begged Parrish Kauai for more relief or a refund on the remaining days of our trip. I purchased a thermometer to prove the house never cooled under 85°. Even at 2 AM the house was 85°! It was 20° cooler outside but there was no way of bringing that air inside the house! We tried placing the fans on the outside of the doors, to blow the cool air inside the home and it did absolutely nothing! We went to two different locations for Parrish Kauai and begged for help. We asked to speak to “JP”, the owner of Parrish Kauai. Dana, a Parrish Kauai employee told us JP was not on property and she was not allowed to give out his number. She sent him an email as I stood there, and requested he call me directly… he never contacted me. Lily a Parrish Kauai manager, told us the reason the home was so hot was due to us using the oven, cooktop and dryers. I explained to Lily that those appliances were the reason we booked the home! If the listing would have detailed that those appliances should NOT be used due to how hot the home becomes after using them, I would have never paid $ (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) to stay there! Parrish Kauai refused to provide any further relief or a refund on the remaining days of our stay. I’ve been going to Kauai for twenty-five years and lived there for seven and a half of those years. I lived in three different homes (WITHOUT AC) on the island! Never have I ever experienced any home on Kauai being this unbearably hot! DO NOT BOOK A HOME WITH PARRISH KAUAI. If you have already booked a home with this horrible company, be careful communicating with Parrish Kauai via text. They understand by texting you directly, instead of going through the Airbnb app, they will circumvent the process Airbnb has to protect the renters, and this is how they will not have to refund any portion of your trip. Make sure all your communication stays within the Airbnb app. And remember you have 72 hours to report your issues to Airbnb and request a refund! After the 72 hours pass, you are out of luck!! And believe me Parrish Kauai is 100% aware of this! It’s precisely why they send you a direct text instead of communicating with you through the Airbnb app! Be smarter than the thieves! If having a heat stroke is your idea of a great vacation then (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Halalii Place, Koloa, HI (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , is the place for you! If you enjoy overpaying for a beautiful home that needs a lot of work to figure out what is going on with the ventilation in it, then you’ve found your place! If you enjoy being treated badly and spoken down to, then Parrish Kauai is the property management company for you! Otherwise, AVOID Parrish Kauai and any property they manage! Find someplace else to say or better yet just stay at a resort! I hope my review saves you and your family the horrible experience mine were forced to deal with! Mahalo!
Dawn, it comes down to something quite simple. Had you wanted air conditioning, you should have rented a home with air conditioning. We do not refund people because of the weather. Calling and yelling at us every day, visiting the office demanding we install air conditioning, being constantly belligerent, abusive and almost psychotic to my staff daily did nothing but alienate yourself. Unacceptable behavior for anyone and we will not tolerate it.

Beautiful home with beautiful views and a great location! Only a few minute from the beach and walking distance to many great restaurants! The pool is a great touch; many great times we’re had there! Check-in was super easy and the host was very responsive! As others have mentioned, there is no A/C but there is a nice breeze with the windows open and ceiling fans. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location and clean house
This place has everything that we needed. It’s in a nice area of poipu and easy acces to the shops. One thing is that there is no ac, but you get used to it, with all the fans running. The pool was great, and clean! I would definitely come back.
