Kapalua Bay Villa 28B2

It was wonderful

Our family of four spent four wonderful nights in Bay Villa 28-D. Kapalua is a beautiful property and neighborhood, with the coastal trail that leads to several beaches and awesome rocky headlands just a hundred feet away from the villa. The property manager communicated well, and the villa was reasonably well equipped with a nice layout for us plus our two teenagers. The kitchen could use a few more bowls, glasses, and mugs, but overall, we had a great stay in this excellent villa.

Overall, the Maui west side is a superb spot. We drove down to Kannapali and Lahaina for dinner most nights where the options are more plentiful than in Kapalua.

The property was in a prime location but is surrounded by identical townhomes with views into each. Privacy was lacking. The appliances were disappointing - the washer/dryer stackable is definitely from the 1990s and tore clothes. The COCKROACHES were a SURPRISE and DISAPPOINTMENT! The living room sofa was very uncomfortable, the air exchange in the upstairs bedroom was lacking due to two of the side windows being screwed shut. The two twin beds down stairs slid around the room when any movement took place on the bed. There was no hot tub at any of the pools. And, the phone number for resort transportation was not operational. While we like the Kapalua area, we'd not rent this particular unit again.

We loved our stay at the Kapalua Bay Villa. The location is perfect with great walking paths either north or south. We enjoyed the views and hearing the waves crash.

Really enjoyed our time in Kapalua Maui this year and was extremely pleased with our rental of 28B2. Everything was clean and updated and the check in/out was very easy. We’ve stayed at multiple Kapalua Bay Villas over the years and will definitely plan to come back to this one!

The 3 of us found this experience beautifully comfortable and very clean and met our many needs of the Maui experience! We would love to return someday!

The property and the view are really amazing. We especially loved the pool, the easy access to the trail and the leather chairs upstairs.

This condo is in the perfect location near all sorts of activities. We recommend renting a car to go places. The 2 beaches were amazing! 1 for snorkeling and the other for boogie boarding. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The refrigerator has a filtered water dispenser inside and an ice maker in the freezer! The views are top notch! We never wanted to leave!

Our condo was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. View was amazing and we loved the easy access to the Kapalua Trail and Beach. We were sad to leave.

Overall great trip and the property management system was perfect.

We love Kapalua and enjoyed staying with our adult children in this unit. There were 6 of us and everyone was comfortable. The view is excellent and we sat on the balcony, spotting the whales several times a day. The testing for Covid is doable, just read all of the information and follow the Travel Hawaii instructions. Sadly, it began nicely, then the wheels fell off of the bus. First, even though we were one of 4 occupants i n the entire community (COVID) we were harassed for having a surf board on the front balcony, even though you can only see it if you walk up to the front door, so we had to being it in the house.Secondly, construction showed up in the middle of our vacation, built scaffolding around the house and caught me changing and my husband i n the bathroom. The hammering started at 7:56am every morning, and the drilling throughout the entire day. We were one of the few occupants yet we were the only house with the construction crew completely surrounding us. Because of the virus situation, everything was closed so aside from the trail walk we were stuck inside with our privacy completely lost and the noise that was a daily headache. VERY DISAPPOINTING! We couldn't wait to leave.

My family of four stayed in this rental and enjoyed it. Downstairs bedroom (2 beds, private bath) was perfect for my teenagers and upstairs (king with private bath) was perfect for the adults. Nice views of the pacific and Molokai. Only quibble I had was that the unit also has nice views of your neighbors - both left and right. The unit was perfectly clean with nice enough furniture and an easy walk to the ocean trail or beach.

Our stay at this property way exceeded our expectations! The views were incredible and everything in this property was first class. The location was fantastic being just steps from the water and a 2 minute walk to the Montage. I can't say enough good things about this Ocean Front property!

Our original condo had a leak and we were contact by the property manager the evening before our trip and moved into another unit. It was further from the water but was a very nice condo with a beautiful view. The property manager answered emails within minutes and could not have been more helpful. The free shuttle was easy and great for schlepping kids to the beach. I was very impressed and would stay there again.

We loved our stay at this home. It was close to several beaches all within walking distance and provided different activities for everyone in the family (snorkeling, boogie boarding, surfing, and relaxing)We swam with sea turtles this first full day in Kapalua Bay beach. It was a great start to our vacation. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen well stocked with pans and utensils. The place was very clean and has a fabulous view of the ocean, just steps from the trail. We loved eating breakfast every morning while watching the ocean waves. The only down side was ants in the downstairs bathroom. My son discovered it on the 2nd day all over the toilet paper. We didn't know where they were coming from. By the end of the stay, they were creeping into the shower. The kids were still able to us the bathroom, but tit was good to have the other full bath outside the room which they ended up using. Loved the beach towels and chairs provided and there were plenty of dish and laundry detergent for our stay. We asked for someone to greet us when we first arrived. Anita went above and beyond driving me to nearby beaches and showing me the lay of the land, recommending restaurants and places to go.. We would not have found the property without her help. We can't wait to come back again. We dined at Sea House restaurant, which was a short 15min walk on the trail. It was delicious and my kids had leftovers for the next day. The Napili plaza market had everything we needed for our trip, and Boss Frog in that plaza was great for renting snorkeling gears. They were friendly and very helpful. My younger son had problems with the mask and we went back twice to switch gear and they were very accommodating. Overall, my kids and husband's first trip to Maui was a great success! We all can't wait to come back again. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable.

This is the second year that we have stayed in this property. It’s a great location and conveniently close to everything. It is easy to access and in great shape. The only inconvenience was they were remodeling the unit below us and during the week it was noisy and the construction workers were taking up the parking and they left their cigarette butts all over the parking lot. The other thing that could be improved on is the sleeper sofa is very uncomfortable. If they had a queen air mattress it would be much more comfortable to sleep on. Air mattresses at relatively in expensive and it would make a great improvement on the property.

The villa is very clean and has amazing views! The location is absolutely perfect.

Super satisfied with our stay. Will definitely be back and asking for 28 to stay in.

Very nice unit. Items of Note: 1. The smoke detector was not installed in the ceiling of the stairway. 2. Sliding and screen doors not functioning well. Very difficult to open & close. 3. Cabinet doors beneath kitchen sink sticking together. 4. None of the bathroom doors lock. 5. Recessed light in hallway to main level bathroom missing trim. Would recommend this property to other with repairs noted above.

I returned to this condo because everything was wonderful three years ago. This time, we had no electricity in the bathrooms for three days, that makes it hard to get ready for a wedding. The front door did not lock the entire stay, it doesn\'t line up properly. Had to ask for more lamps because it was so dark you couldn't read in the living room. Certainly not a gold property, but worse than I would have expected anywhere. Not worth the money.

This was the nicest place we've ever stayed! We enjoyed it so much it was very difficult to leave! The accommodations were amazing - very spacious with tons of windows (we loved the wall-controlled blinds, too) and a beautiful ocean front view. Beds were all very comfortable - plenty of room for a family of five with three big kids who are now spoiled (my 17 year old's tongue was wagging upon seeing this place for the first time). Lots of seating, spacious bathrooms (3 total!), tastefully decorated. Only a 3 minute walk to Oneloa Beach; 8 min. walk to Kapalua Bay Beach (best snorkeling on the island); 15+ min. walk to Fleming Beach (best boogie boarding on Maui), next to the Ritz, which has happy hour at their beachside bar 3-4 pm, as well as bean bag toss and shuffleboard. You can take free shuttle there, too, but we never used that. We also enjoyed free tennis court with ocean view (rackets are $5 each to rent from the HOA office) and the pool with ocean view, clean restrooms, and gas BBQ. Very close to Napili Market for any extra groceries needed and Maui Tacos for a tasty, reasonably priced meal. Honolua Market also has food items and a good variety on its menu.

The Villas rented were in great condition. The 30% discount was good for the painting, but did not realize that there would be no chairs on the patio. Other than that the place was great.

This is a terrific property. The furnishings are nice and the place is roomy enough for 6 people. Great view of the ocean to wake up to each morning and a great place to stay if you don't want to stay in a tourist location but want some solitude but close enough to different shopping and activities to make it a great vacation property.

excellent in every way

We stayed at this condo for eight nights in mid August. It has good view of ocean and the edge of Molokai island. The kitchen is well equipped. Though we did not use, the pool was located close. We had enough space for a family of four. It may not be as specious as one may want if there are five people. The only thing it would have been helpful was to be informed of linen service provided for guests staying a week or longer. It was written on the sheet of paper in the property. But if we had known beforehand, we didn't have to use the same covers every night. Other than that. the property was very nice.

I've been vacationing on Maui for over 30 years and have found the Bay villas to be without doubt the best.!!!! No problems with this condo. Would always stay here again!!

This place has a million dollar view! The villa was clean and comfortable and is in a wonderful location. The private beach was pretty quiet and very enjoyable. The only complaint we had was that it needs a few minor repairs. The downstairs bedroom door, and the master suite bathroom door will not stay closed/latch. Also, the shower head in the downstairs bathroom should probably be replaced. That said, we would definitely come back and stay again. BEAUTIFUL place!!!!

Our stay in Kapalua was better than expected. The unit was in better shape than we anticipated and the views and grounds were exactly as advertised. Perfect for families! We will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed this unit. It has been recently redecorated, is comfortable and has a well-equipped kitchen. The views are great, and the walks along the ocean really special. It is located near excellent restaurants, and also small, local cafes and markets.

We had stayed in this unit previously and loved it then! But now... It\'s even better! There are some new upgrades that make this 2-bedroom condo a steal! The ocean views are amazing and the accessibility to wonderful restaurants and entertainment is terrific! We enjoyed scenic walks along the ocean front to DT Flemings Beach and Napili Bay beach. We used to stay in Ka\'anapali, but since we found this gem we will never stay anywhere else!
