Relax near Poipu
The rental is very comfortable, seems to be continually and caringly updated, with so many thoughtful items for our use—boogie board, flippers, beach chairs, and well appointed kitchen utensils. The two bedrooms and baths are great. The furnishings are lovely. It is a walk through the complex and across a road to a nearby beach that is just right with great waves and sunsets. Check-in and check-out were simple. Our time spent was relaxing and enjoyable. Also—the pool is great!!!!

Great Place!
We stayed here from January 19 until the 25th. We arrived after hours and key access was easy! The grounds are lovely and well manicured. The condo itself is beautiful – perfect size for four adults and nicely appointed! Large bathrooms. The views were incredible – we could watch whales breaching in the distance and the sunsets were spectacular! Owners have thoughtfully furnished the unit with everything needed, including beach towels and chairs, umbrella, boogie board. Having a washer and dryer in the unit is a definite bonus! A real plus is the close proximity of the unit to the beaches for great morning walks and also that we didn’t have to get in a car whenever we wanted to go to the beach. There was a fair amount of humidity at nighttime – the carpet seemed to be damp in the mornings (future remodel maybe tile?). We learned to not leave too many windows open at night (which we did to get a cross breeze to cool the unit). According to our companions, the second bedroom’s bed was not the most comfortable, and both bedrooms could use a few more pillows! But these are just minor details. Anticipated having some rain at times, but were not disappointed when we had not a single drop! We were very happy with this condo and look forward to coming back and staying here again!

Less than expected.
Unit needs a deep cleaning. It is getting close to time for furniture updating. Nice view and a great location. I will come back to this area of the Island, just not to this condo

It was an amazing rental. The house had lots of fans to help with the heat.

Wonderful location with the right mix of privacy and scenery
Visited 11-17 Feb ’18. Top floor allowed cool breezes to flow through. Views from above allowed my family to see whales, dolphins and fantastic sunsets. Will reserve again.

We highly recommend this unit. Amazing 2 weeks. Place is very quiet and not noisy at all.
???? Everything. This place was wonderful! Loved every minute. Unit was large and had an incredible view. Lack of air conditioning was never an issue. Condo had everything we needed. Love this place and would absolutely recommend it. Bathrooms were recently remodeled and were absolutely gorgeous. Loved the shower!
???? Lack of sufficient lighting in kitchen. No overhead lights so kitchen was never light enough. Microwave was just to high. Mom could not even reach it.

Nice, but master bedroom TOO HOT to sleep.
There is a lot good about this place and some not so great stuff. Unfortunately, the master bedroom was unbearably hot and we woke up about every hour or so. The room faces the ocean and sun blasts in all day. It is the top floor and the heat has no where to go. Because of the layout, the cross-breeze doesn’t get into the master bedroom or the master bathroom at all. We tried every trick in the book to cool it down (fans, cross-breeze, etc.) By comparison, on this same trip we stayed in two other places with no air and did not have this problem. They really need to put in an air conditioner for that room. If they do, we would stay again. The back bedroom got a nice cooling breeze and with two fans going it was cool enough for our son to sleep. The kitchen is very nice, recently updated and well-stocked. Large lanai. Huge living space with comfy Hawaiian style furniture, but a little crowded especially in the dining area. Room for 2 or 3 people (kids?) to sleep on trundle beds. We didn’t see any bugs. The washer/dryer are full size and new. The only other things that could use improvement: the carpet felt “crunchy” so we didn’t go barefoot, and both bathrooms are well past-due for an up-grade. The exterior property is nicely kept up with beautiful plants, and there are flat, lighted pathways. Pool and tennis courts easy to get to. BBQ was cleaned daily by staff. Parking in our lot was always available. Great location. Short walk to the beach. Short drive to restaurants/market/shops.

We are sorry the one room did not cool down. Please understand we rate each unit individually and if you are looking for a totally remodeled unit, check out our Premier and Premier Plus units to be assured you pick the unit right for you. We are not sure what you mean about the “crunchy” carpet, but know it is professionally cleaned regularly and/or spot treated as needed. Just to be sure, we double checked records and it has been on this schedule. Lastly, we will pass on your nice comments to staff as they always love hearing all their hard work on the landscaping and property does not go unnoticed. Exceptional!
We’ve stayed at Nihi Kai at least 15 times over the years. 525 is one of the best units on the grounds. A corner unit, the kitchen and dining area are part of an extended floor plan with at least 10 additional feet in width running the length of the unit. The extra size was complimented with more plates, Silverware, cooking tools than any of the other units we’ve stayed in. Furniture, amenities, all very good. I gave this unit 4 stars instead of 5 only because the lack of air Conditioning in the hottest months can make it hard to sleep at night. In fairness, nearly all condos in Hawaii have no aC (tho a few do in the bedrooms), but the afternoon sun can get a little warm. Will I stay again? Yes!! In 525? Yes! Parking, location in Poi’pu, ocean, breeze – all this make Nihi Kai the place for me.

Two weeks in Heaven
Kauai was beautiful, and our accomodations were wonderful! There were 4 travelers, and we were comfortable, and the breeze thru the unit was continuous and cool. We thoroghly enjoyed the kitchen and the grill outside to get a break from eating out. Everything was clean and the view was great!

Ideal for young family
Absolutley loved our stay at Unit 525 and have plans to stay there over and over again. Ideally located less than 300 yards walking distance to Baby and Bernanke Beaches, 525 offers the comforts of home and great ocean views. Don’t let the 3 flight of stairs deter you, we managed them just fine with (2) 18 month olds, a 5 and a 7 year old. 525 is spacious, family friendly and tastefully furnished with all that you need to make your vacation complete. We found Snorkling gear, a cooler and boogie board in the closet for the beach activities. All the kitchen gear you need to make the meals at home can be found in the open kitchen (Be sure to hit Costco on your way in from the Airport). Parking and the BBQ are less than 30 yards from the stairs. Quiet and pleasant, you truly experience the Aloha spirit in this unit. I’d be remiss in not thanking the Parrish folks for all their help in coordinating our stay. They’re absolutely the best and would not think of using anyone else on future trips. Pat got us preferred seating and Tee times and the support onsite was second to none. Tired of the hubbub, cost and enormity of big resorts? This by far was the best of our vacations on the Islands.

Exceptional Condo in Many Ways
This unit was in a great location, had a good floor plan and wonderful views. Located on the top floor allowed us to feel the wonderful Hawaiian breezes. The unit was clean and well stocked with towels, dishes and bathroom necessities. The overall property was beautifully landscaped and had great facilities – pool and BBQs.

Wonderful stay
We had a wonderful stay in this well-equipped apartment. It even had snorkels and boogie boards to borrow! We used the outside grill a lot and found the staff accommodating and friendly. We would love to return.

Perfect Vacation Location
Perfect place and decent location. The condo is nicely appointed and very clean. It has many home comforts. Great snorkling spots all really close. Condo’s groundskeeping very well maintained. Drawbacks for some may be that the condo is on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. Also, since you are up so high, you are surrounded by tree canopies. The birds can be a bit messy and noisy. We liked the chatter because it provided a very tropical experience. If you chose this place, you will not be sorry. Truly wonderful.
