Great Property - Good location!
by Karen HullWe stayed for a week with extended family. We could tell that Parrish has been working to update the property. The interior paint looked fresh and many of the furnishings have changed from the pictures. The location was great - it was easy for people to come and go from the beach. Things to know: -The master is upstairs. It is quite large with a wet bar and balcony. Great ocean view from here! It was very warm when we arrived, but the AC was able to keep it cool when we kept the shades pulled. -The other 3 bedrooms are downstairs with one bathroom close by. The other bathroom was located off the sunken living room, which made for a little bit of journey at night. -This property does back to the parking lot next to Kalapaki Joe's, so there was some noise. As with most residential properties in Kauai, the roosters start early. -The AC worked well, even though the windows are all slatted. -A shed contains an assortment of beach/snorkel gear. They did have an umbrella, wagon and a small cooler. There were about 6 chairs. -The dining table inside seats 6, outside seats 8. -The pool at Poipu Athletic Club was great! It was about a 3 minute drive. We thought maybe we could walk, but they are doing construction on the road, so it wasn't a safe option. The pool has a restaurant, so we ate there a couple of times. There is a small water slide that is perfect for kids. They also provided towels, which was nice.
