The Parish Collection was wonderful to rent from. The process was easy and straight forward. Staff was friendly and helpful. The property was clean and well maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and eating in. The beach supplies were an added bonus and really made our stay that much more enjoyable.

Beautiful sunsets from top and bottom lanai’s.
The house is not fancy; it is a Hawaii beach house. But the backyard on the rocky shore, the view of the coast and Spouting Horn in the distance with lovely sunsets and pleasant afternoons are priceless. The house is well appointed with the appliances you need to cook simple meals and we loved dining on the lanai visited by the local chickens. The property managers are attentive and they even bought a roasting pan so we could cook our Thanksgiving Turkey! Comfortable for 5. Six will work for families. I think 2 couples are the limit though. Well located within walking distance of 2 beaches plus a baby beach and lots of shopping nearby. We love Kauai and this was a great place for our family to come together. Mahalo and Aloha.
Mahalo Donald for your 5-star review and comments. We are so happy that you got to appreciate the views and location of Hale Ulili. It sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and we look forward to hosting you again soon. Aloha!

Awesome view and location
The backyard view is unbeatable and house is in a great location - easy to get to shops and restaurants but have plenty of privacy. Sunsets from the backyard are amazing and we saw lots of turtles in the ocean right off the backyard. The interior of the house is a little rundown and could use some updates but it was an awesome place to stay and the view is incredible.
Mahalo LeighAnne for the five-star review and comments. We agree, yard, view and location is amazing. This is a "island casual" beach house where it is all about value. Glad you were able to enjoy it and we look forward to hosting you again soon.

The location is pure heaven, and it’s why we’ve returned several times
Each team member we’ve either spoken with or met in person have been courteous, and quite helpful. Just keep doing what you’re doing. For the cost of the rental, the home is of value. And if one really looks to the south yard and sees nothing but Pacific Ocean and waves, well it’s hard to complain about that at all. We’ve stayed at this particular home several times. Sure there’s some updating that can occur, but again, for the price, it’s ok. One thing that was improved upon since our last visit was an updated kitchen. Fabulous! Thanks for doing that. Closet doors need a bit of trimming at the bottom to allow for smoother sliding, along with updated track rollers at the top. Underneath the upper deck is the happy home for a multitude of spiders. Yes, they are to be expected, but just before a renter comes, they should be swept away. And we wouldn’t make use of the grill because of them. Lastly, the chickens have done a pretty good job of pecking up the top of the wicker tables on the deck. We “live” on that deck while we’re there, and if replacement of the tables is an issue, a simple pair of tablecloths can hide the damage and therefore keep the chickens off the tabletop. We used a couple of beach towels as our makeshift table cloths…..did the trick.
Mahalo John and Janis for your 5-star review, comments and most importantly, your loyalty. We love hearing from our returning guests. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and we will be sure to address the items you mentioned. We can definitely touch up the door hardware and add a few tablecloths for the lanai. I will ask a property manager to check out the condition of the lanai table and the chicken damage and then make some recommendations to the owner if necessary. We are already looking forward to hosting you again soon! Mahalo and a hui hou!

Great Place for Six People
We had three couples. When we first arrived, the third bedroom was not set up as a king bed, maintenance came right away to fix the problem. The dryer had just went out before we got there – problem taken care of right away! The stay itself was great. If you are okay with sharing one bathroom – it works great. The living room area is smaller than what it looks like. Only four people can fit on couches – while others have to sit at kitchen table. But we did that only one night – the rest of the time we were out on the covered porch – along with all our new friends – Guido, Bruster, Spot, and Henny Penny. Loved the roosters and hen. The kitchen could be a little better stocked with containers for leftovers. So I would suggest when you stop at Costco/grocery – pick up plastic wrap, baggies, cheap storage containers. You will also need to pick up any spices/condiments/oils you will want. The home was very clean. It is very close to everything! You can walk to Beach House and even up to the mall – which contains Merrimens, Tortialla Republic, Longs Drugs, along with a walk to Spouting Horn. You are very close to the beach at Poi Pu. I would definitely stay there again. We spent so much time on the porch in the morning and evening. The lawn is great. You can sit on the wall and watch the turtles. We saw so many whales we almost didn’t need to do a whale watching trip. We will be staying here again.
Mahalo Carrie for the review and comments and we look forward to hosting you again soon. A hui hou!

8 days in Kauai
Great location, ocean view, architecturally interesting building, quiet, all little details provided. Only downside is kitchen is a little worn. Recommended for 4 or less people.
Mahalo John for the 5-star review and comments. You will be happy to know that Hale Ulili just had a full remodel of the kitchen (2019). We hope to host you again so you can see it. Aloha.

Gorgeous view - poor house
If u are on a tight budget but want oceanfront – perfect but the house is old, run down and we battled cockroaches the entire trip. Would not stay here again
Aloha Laurie, we apologize for any intrusion from our island neighbors. Please know we have the home treated regularly and usually have no problem. As you mention, this home is older and is described as “island casual” so that no one is surprised and are more focused on the value for the location. We are sorry you would not stay here, but we do offer many options that are newer (look for a rating of Premier or Premier Plus). Mahalo.
Incredible and above my expectations
We stayed at this house for the week of Valentine’s Day and it was so beautifully kept. There were fresh linens and flowers on the table with a card to welcome us. The kitchen was stocked with everything for cooking. The room temperature was perfect with the fan on during the day. The night was usually fine without the fan as long as we left the sliding doors open with the screen door shut. The sound of the ocean was so beautiful because the house is literally right on the water. I just absolutely loved staying here and will definitely be back. Thank you so much for making our trip incredible!!!
Mahalo for staying with us and we look forward to hosting you again soon.

Perfect location - unreal sunset
This home is in a great location on the south side. Not far from Koloa, Poipu, the West side, Waimea Canyon, Lihue and many beaches. We stayed here 1/2 of our time in Kauai and enjoyed sunsets nearly every day. The hot tub was a great way to relax – although if you add more than 1 person the water cools off and doesn’t seem to heat back up. The master suite was fantastic! Everything we needed for the beach was there, which was great. We cooked most of our meals at the house and it had everything we needed (note: no oven, but that didn’t bother us). The chickens didn’t seem to bad around this house either so wake up calls weren’t too horrible. If you’re looking for a nice beach, check out the secret beach down the road – pull out of the driveway and go left until the road ends, park and walk around the gate and follow the path to the secret beach – it was great!! Highly recommend this property!!

Perfect location, dated accommodations
This property directly overlooks the ocean, and we saw sea turtles, dolphins, and whales from the hot tub! It also has portable beach chairs/boogie boards/fans. The interior of the home has likely not been updated in many years. In addition, the public space is quite small. It was a perfectly fine place to stay otherwise.

Location is awesome!
This our second Parrish home we have rented. You just can’t beat the location despite the house needing a little TLC. It was clean inside, the beds were comfortable and waking up to see the ocean and whales going by is a treat. The kitchen, living room and dining room are one in the same but that is fine for family time. This particular home did not have an oven but that is mentioned in the description on the website. It had plenty of pots and pans to cook with. The stove is a little touchy and you must make sure the igniter lights the gas or you will have a little poof of gas if you’re not careful. The fridge is in good shape and handled all of our groceries just fine. The furniture was decent enough and the little stereo was nice with the ipod(older gen) holder. All the rooms had great views of the ocean as well as the dining/living room area. The patio furniture was nice on the lower Lanai. We had some trouble with the screen door to the master lanai. Just worn from the ocean air I suppose. The master shower is very small but the shower head is great. The lower bedrooms share the shower and one of the bedrooms has a toilet room only. It seemed to work well for everyone. The jacuzzi worked fine for the one night we used it but then stopped working the next time we had plans to use it which was too late to have maintenance come out. Despite the little issues we would definitely rent the place again. It’s close to a local beach for snorkeling and close enough to Spouting Horn for morning and evening walks. This time of year was great to watch the Humpback whales breach and splash while we sat and watched from the lanai. And the spinner Dolphins and turtles were an added delight. The location is awesome!
Amazing
You always hope that you will be happy with your accommodations and this home did not disappoint. We loved the location with the amazing views. We watched turtles every morning and beautiful sunsets at night. The home was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was relaxing at night listening to the crashing waves and the palm trees rustling in the wind. The one suggestion we would make would be for a sofa instead of two love seats so you could recline after a hard day of sight seeing. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year.
Delightful
We were here with both friends and family. Great location along a residential street of much fancier homes. Location perfect with yard and on the rocky oceanfront. Parrish was responsive when we were out of propane and answered our questions promptly. The home had everything we needed. the only drawback is the challenging kitchen area, just a counter along the end of living area but we managed great meals with some good cooks..This was our 2nd time here and will return again. Love the location and proximity to the waves, turtles, whale watching and sunsets.
Awesome
Pat, the concierge, was exceptional. Very friendly, very informative, very accessible. The entire staff of Parrish was great. The house location was perfect, phenomenal views both ocean view and mountain view, great yard. Hot tub worked fine. The unit is quite dated on the interior. The carpet, in particular, really needs to be replaced. It emits a foul odor we had to adjust to during our stay. Also, there were only 3 chaise lounge chairs outside and one of them is broken. With 4 people, it would be nice to have 4 chaises to sit on. The staff advised us the unit had not been updated but we were disappointed in the condition. We will upgrade next time assuming the unit is not updated between now and then but that is really a reflection of our persoanl tastes. For the price the unit is fine. Thanks. See you next year:) Oh, the ceiling fan in the master bedroom upstairs is inoperable
Exactly as description
The website accurately describes the property. Unassuming but clean and comfortable. Great location and value for money. Two things we were disappointed with: 1. The spa lid did not have the ‘assist’ lever and so made it very difficult to use the spa, the corner location next to the deck also hindered this. 2. There were very few ‘real’ glasses, we went to Walmart and bought some because drinking from a plastic glass was not acceptable.
One word heavenly
Hale Ulili is a fabulous property. The sunsets are most spectacular !!! It is in a great location in spite of all the traffic. I know that whoever rents this property they will not be dissatisified. This was the second time we stayed here. You were most accomodating when you immediately replaced our coffee maker.
Hale Ulili
This is a very roomy, casual home. The bedrooms are very spacious and the furnishings in the home are very comfortable. The property is a nice size and right on the water; we watched waves by the hour. The area was very quiet and peaceful. The staff at The Parrish Collection was very helpful with their suggestions and assistance with reservations. The only things I would like to see updated would be the only TV. It is in the common room and is small and there is no internet access.

Our Stay was Wonderful
We had a terrific time at Hale Ulili, and the house was just ideal for us. It’s simply furnished but it couldn’t be more comfortable, and the location was perfect. We loved watching turtles and whales from the house, and the hot tub was a real bonus. We could walk to our favorite snorkeling beach,to the Botanical Gardens, and to the Beach House restaurant, three of our favorite places.

Sounds of the ocean
The best thing about this property was listening to the sound of the waves and the wind in the palm trees right outside the bedroom window while drifting off to sleep each evening. Or was it morning coffee on the bedroom balcony overlooking the ocean? Or the quiet street with the long path for a morning jog? Perhaps the best was being walking distance to Poipu beach? We didn’t use the hot tub much, so that may be the best for some people. This property has a lot going for it.
