Not only is the Hanalei Bay Resorts’ pool one of the best on Kauai, the views from the one, two and three bedroom condo suites are amazing. Beautiful sunsets, Hanalei Bay, the Na Pali Coast and Bali Hai are just some of the views that the individually owned condos can provide. Short objective review
Pros:Beautiful view. Nice location. Limited places to eat in Princeville so nice to be able to eat at the property though the restaurant is not open for breakfast. The beach near the hotel was nice, sheltered and private. They have golf carts and shuttle you to and from the beach. That was nice bc it's a bit of a hike back from there.Cons:Check in process is terrible. They won\'t give you the check in details until the condo is available. Check in is at 3pm. I requested the check in details early which they would not send me. No notification at 3. Luckily i was able to check in at the front desk after some discussion. When i arrived at the condo, it was ready so don\'t know why i was not notified. I did check my email later and they did send me the check notification at 5:57pm. They should change their check in process. Pool looks nice but was filthy. Gross visible sediment circulating around in the water. Did lay out at the pool but never went in that water. Check out seems early, 10AM. Don't know if this is a new standard? Check out at my hotel was noon.

Our team followed up with housekeeping before sending your check-in code via text and email at 2:57 PM—just in time for the official 3 PM check-in. Regarding your concerns about the pool, as it is managed by the resort, we will be sure to share your feedback with them. We apologize if the cleaning standards did not meet your expectations. As for check-out, a 10 AM departure is standard for vacation rentals to allow ample time for thorough cleaning and preparation for incoming guests. Unlike hotels, vacation rentals require additional care, and later check-out times are not available.

We’ve stayed at a few units at Hanalei Bay Resort! This was by far our favorite and we can’t wait to book again! Amazing view, plenty of space for family of 4 and beds were so comfy.

Check in
Our stay was amazing. We were not in the room much. Very clean, view was breathtaking. Our check in was rough. On the email it said three we got there at 2:45 and were told we couldn't check in til 4. After flying from Santa Fe, NM I felt this was very inconvenient. We also were not treated by the front desk very kindly. I did not realize we were technically part of the resort. The check out time was also way to early and I was forced to spend an additional 500$ to secure a space within the resort for us to shower and unwind after a day at the beach. The only thing that occurred with the room was the handle fell off the shower for the water. Everything was supplied for our stay and I was so impressed with amenities and that the condos felt more like a home. I would definitely stay again! Thank you for a much needed vacation.
The best thing about this unit is the amazing view of Hanalei Bay! The photos are exactly what it looks like inside as well. Clean resort grounds and nice beach. One thing to note that I missed when booking through Airbnb and wasn\'t listed in the cost/fees unless you read the fine print. Hanalei Bay Resort charges a $50 check-in fee, $17/day to park, which can be rather challenging to even get a spot, and $22/day resort fee.

This condo is located in Hanalei Bay Beach Resort. It has a beautiful view and comfortable beds. It is also in a great location. I give it five stars for the beauty of the place. The negatives are we arrived late at night it was very dark and kind of hard to locate the building. Also there were no parking spots available which was a pain so we had to valet park. It’s difficult to find a parking spot anytime after 5:00 pm. The other negative was the extra fees for parking and resort check in this added up to an additional 190.00 just for three nights. We loved the resort, the pool and spa, the views and the walk down to the beach . Because of all the pros the cons of extra fees and parking spots I would come back here .

Heaven
Hanalei Bay Resort is heaven on earth. Lusciously landscaped property and the view from this condo is why you come and stay here. The location 3303 & 3304 is super convenient. Steps from the parking lot, and close to the pool with a truly spectacular view of Hanalei Bay. The condo is well maintained and appointed including Tommy Bahama beach chairs. Kitchen is well stocked perfect for breakfast in since you won't want to leave the patio. HBR is a condo community, and on site restaurant & bar opens at 3pm. The upscale resort "1 Hotel Hanalei" is next door and is now open and share the beach Puu Poa at the bottom of the hill/path. There is now an independent beach hut of sorts on the beach that rents kayaks, paddleboards etc. The pool bar for 1 Hotel is located beach level and open to anyone for drinks or a bite to eat. HBR pool is lovely but pebble bottom is a little rough on the feet. Hot tub was up and running the entire time we were there. Can't wait to return. Parrish communicated by text, and no issues w check in. Can't wait to return.

Perfect stay in paradise
We loved our time here! This was a perfect place for our family of 4. Easy walking distance to the best beach in Kauai! And the view is stunning. We loved watching the sun on the hills in the morning and the magical sunsets every night. We had everything we needed here – beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear, mats, etc. We cooked breakfasts here and ate lunches at local carts. We usually got takeout from the restaurants in Princeville for dinner. Recommend Hot Mamas, Nourish, and the gas station food - seriously! We will definitely be returning to this place!
The units we have stayed in have all been good quality. Appreciate the direct customer service.

Don’t swim after a rain
Arrived Saturday night, swam at Anini on Sunday and Monday , caught Vibrio due to rainwater running off mountains ( no warning signs) was hospitalized from Wednesday to Monday trying to save two toes. So not much opportunity to enjoy Princeville

From what I read online, vibrio comes from eating raw seafood. You may want to call the restaurant you at ate prior to warn them. Again, hope you are now healed and look forward to hosting you on your next trip.

Parrish Kauai is awesome!!! Very professional and attentive!! How soon do bookings open for 2025? I’m planning a large celebratory retirement trip for me, my daughter & her family-6 people! I have the condo selected already. 3 bedroom-3 bath.
This unit is lovely. The view is spectacular. The home is exactly as pictured. Closets are full stocked with beach gear and chairs. Quick response time to issues. Private beach was perfect. Highly recommend!!
I couldn’t ask for anything more! My wife and I were thrilled and highly recommend.
Hanalei Resort
Great stay at Hanalei Bay Resort!
“The Guava building is the best one”, said a staff person- and they were right! No need to leave the lanai, Hanalei Bay below and BaliHai in the distance. Or if you want, walk 10-15 minutes downhill to perfect little swimmable snorkel-able beach and get the golf cart back up the hill! They are rebuilding a big hotel next door so things may get more crowded but for now it’s three to five other groups, the birds, the surfers and you! Condo Super clean, attentive staff, hot tub broke while we were there but they were fixing it, nice pool with water falls, beautifully maintained grounds. We will be back.

Amazing view
Fabulous view over Hanalei Bay. Newly renovated condo with all the best amenities. Parking and pool are just steps away and beach with great snorkeling is easy access.
