Kapalua Bay Villa 32G2

Pros-Great location, condo was decently furnished, beds comfortable Cons-AC in main bedroom did not work well. Maitanence tried to fix it to no aval. Condo di have 2 chairs and an umbrella but the umbrella was broken. Kithchen well equipped but there are a limited number of forks/spoons, etc so constatntly running out after 2 meals.

Location stairs to access to villa was challenging for seniors and folks with disability. Parking was a real problem.

Great location, clean property, quiet location.

We love staying at the Bay Villas. This is our 7th time and it was perfect. The condo was very clean and perfect for the 4 of us. Would stay here again.

The condo was comfortable and a perfect location for us. The AC was not as cold as we would have liked in the master bedroom. Otherwise it was perfect.

Overall we enjoyed the unit very much. Great location, unit size and property, pools, etc. Well stocked kitchen. Only callout is the unit smelled quite musty/moldy, especially upon entering which was surprising since the unit is very clean and well kept.

Great rental

Overall a great place and great location. Just a five minute walk to the beach, cliffs and Ocean front trail. The only negative I could give would be some of the switches for the fans and lights did not work, however everything else was amazing!

We enjoyed the location of the Bay Villas. It's an easy walk to either Kapalua Bay (10 min) or Napili Beach (15 min) in one direction and along the Coastal Trail to Fleming Beach (20 min). The condo is very spacious and provides great privacy. The view is amazing from all the patios or bedrooms. We used the BBQ located in the Pool area every night, which was great because it was Thanksgiving week and all the restaurants where booked out well in advance. A big thanks goes out to the onsite property management: We had an issue with a tripping noise coming from the AC unit in one of the bedrooms and within a few hours it was fixed. The downside was that the condos interior and furniture are outdated and old and it smelled particularly when you opened the cupboards. We knew that it was not an updated unit as we booked it and the photos reflected some of it. So we can't really complain but for that reason we'd not come back to this particular unit and choose an updated condo even if it costs more.

Well.. we love kapalua villas and the location.. however this unit is in serious need of appointing and updating

old cans of paint had to be removed from bedroom closet

our daughter cut her foot on a piece of glass embedded in the second bedroom carpet

we had to manage cockroaches

we had be buy new sheets as those provided were old and pilled

the furniture is hard, old and incredibly uncomfortable

There were very few provisions and those provided were pretty old and some broken

use of TV was a mystery most of the time..

on the bright side.. management was responsive, the workers were nice and the view is wonderful. Its unfortunate that the owners do not invest in this wonderful location. we would come back to kapalua villas but never again to this unit.

We stayed in the villa for one week with another couple. The view of the ocean when you walk in through the floor to ceiling windows was amazing. The place was clean and stocked with all of our needs. It was a quick walk to the pool and short drive to snorkeling beaches. We enjoyed the views from the lanai daily, listening to the ocean and watching the sunrise and sunset. The affordable price was excellent despite past reviews that complained about it not being up to date. While it might not be as updated as some other villas in the area, it was spacious, clean, excellent location, huge bathrooms and stunning views! Would definitely stay here again!!!

32g2 was a beautiful unit. Very spacious. Lots of room. Everything was in good shape. Only dated part was bathroom. Beautiful views from the unit. Would defiantly stay again. Property was gorgeous. We have stayed in many different units and they all have provided their individual benefits. This unit was absolutely perfert for us. We traveled with our two adult kids, our 15 year old and his friend. The indoor and outdoor space outside the condo was perfect for everyone. This unit does not have all of the fancy upgrades but is equipped with everything we needed. Chairs, small cooler, great ice maker, pots, pans, beach towels, etc. We would absolutely stay here again. top it off the management company was wonderful to deal with!

We had a great time at this condo! The location was very good, close to beach and all 3 pools. It could use a little updating but it was very clean. As someone else mentioned, there was a musty smell, but we bought glade air fresheners for each room and it got better!

We enjoyed our stay at the Villa. Well the interior is a little dated, the location is fantastic.

Rainy area, very dated and musty but nice space and resort. Did not give an option of refund of any payment due to COVID contrary to VRBO guidance. Staff inpatient over phone. Would Consider staying at a more updated condo - the area is very rainy compared to other parts of Maui.

Rent ground floor next time people upstairs with small kids running around. Love Hawaii will be back next year after Covid is a better under control. Testing was a little bit of a pain.

The condo is very run down and no upgrades have been made. The pillows on the beds are flat and the bedding is even worse. There was construction going on for 4 days of my stay and I complained about the disruption and no one responded. For the amount of money I paid for my stay someone should have responded with at least an apology.

This is our second stay here. We had the building by ourselves throughout the week except the last two days. Pretty quiet but got some loud kids later stomping on floor. This is ground level so if you’re concern about noise you might want to get an upstairs unit. The property management was very responsive to our questions about the air conditioning and follow up for potholders. We cook a lot!

Had a wonderful time in this very beautiful Bay Villa at Kapalula Hawaii. Loved the experience of Ocean views ever morning and evening from our two bedroom suite. The property was exactly as we expected, awesome. The property manager was very helpful with some minor problems. I'd recommend this property to anyone who wants a perfect vacation rental.

Simply cannot beat the location and beach this property sits on. Great views and quick walks or drives to nearby snorkeling and swimming make it a winner. The unit is well cared for but could use some updating compared to other units on property.

This is a very nice unit situated in a great location – sweeping views of the ocean with lots of whales jumping throughout the day. Overall, the unit was in good shape, and we will definitely stay again.

Being on the ground level assured us a large backyard area to practice yoga and other exercises. I loved all the pools which we often had to ourselves. Our entire experience from the booking, communication with Aloha Vacation Villas and the ease of check-in and check-out was great. I would definitely recommend this unit and will be back again.

Bldg 32G2 looks great on internet but not all reality. The view each morning was spectacular and the wind in the afternoon was expected. The grounds are beutiful and the variety of birds and their songs were so enjoyable. The unfortunate matter was the inside. Their were sugar ants in the condo so we had to put everything in the fridge and leave nothing out at all. We had 2 dead cockroaches in the kitchen/dinning room area during our visit. In the Master Bathroom we had exposed shower pipes, a broken shower controller, (took them all day to fix while gone & maintenance man smelled like smoke when he came in to finish), a forgotten painters ladder, a collapsing iron board and a leaking iron. The dryer took to full runs to dry our clothes, probably a filter or heater problem. The dinning room chairs look attractive but not comfortable at all. For the price being charged, i have recieved more from vbro then i did this time. Will hope that bldg 32G2 gets some tender care from the property management soon, before the next visitor. As the view and outside surroundings of paradise did not match the inside.

Amazing views of whales from the cliffs! Our most relaxing and refreshing vacation ever! We stayed 16 days in this villa and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in every way! We had a small issue with the AC that was handled immediately and professionally! Though the villa could use some updating, we found it clean, comfortable and perfect for our family of 6. We would rent here again!

Our stay at the Kapalua Bay Villas unit 32G2 was for 11 nights starting on the 26th of December. We had stayed in a different villa in March of 2016 and fell in love with the location. This unit was ok and functional, but in serious need of updating and some TLC. The windows do not close properly and with the wind and rain the first half of our trip, the wind whistling through the windows and sliding door was very loud. It was just an OK villa, will stay in a more updated one next time.

Overall a great location. The property is dated and is need of some repair i.e. bathroom fixture knobs fall off easily when used, tile is eroding and windows when shut still allow breezes to come in. We had a fun time with our family and would rent in this complex again.

10 Days of relaxing and enjoying Kapalua, the Bay Billas are perfectly situated between Napili beach, Kapalua beach and DT Flemming, A short drive to all amenities. With 2 large bedrooms and bathrooms each at opposite sides of the Condo it was perfect for 2 couples travelling together. Thanks again to Vickie and Marty at Aloha Vacation Villas, Great folks! We will be back for sure.

The location and view for this unit were unbeatable. We contacted to property management about a couple of questions (minor maintenance needed to unit ...which is the only reason we gave 4 stars below) and each time they were kind, thorough and prompt...couldn't have asked for more!

We stayed in the rental for 10 days with our daughter's family. Having full-size beds rather than twins in the second bedroom is a huge plus. The grass outside the unit is great for small children and was a big reason we rented the unit (this was our second time in 32G2). Kitchen is very usable but not updated, which is why the rate is less, so that was fine with us. Kapalua was windy and misting while we were there but we still used all the pools and nearby beaches. Also used the BBQs in the pool area several times. The view from the unit is great and you can see the sun set at this time of the year.

Condo was great! Amazing views!

We had four adults staying for one week in Bay Villa 32G2. We all loved the huge bathrooms with the sunken tub showers. We also liked how the bedrooms were separated from each other so each couple had privacy along with a private bath and lanai. The third bathroom came in handy when we had friends come over to our villa. The villa was clean and had all the kitchen items we needed. We also really liked being able to wash some of our things in the washer/dryer. We opened lots of windows and never really needed to turn on the A/C which was nice since we could hear the waves nearby all night. I would stay in the villa again if we needed that size. Great location since we love walking along the shoreline trails and being able to walk to Kapalua Bay as well as Oneloa Beach.

We have two small children so this ground floor unit was great. The grass area by the lanai's is massive and quiet. The unit itself is very large with two huge bathrooms and a third smaller bath. It would be great for two couples as well as small families. Everything was a solid 4 with the exception of the kitchen. It was lacking a few essentials (cutting board, decent knives, etc) and it was not as clean as we would have like but it was sufficient. There were three separate A/C units which all worked very well...everything in the unit worked as expected. We really enjoyed our stay. The kids had a blast.

Unit was great, view of ocean with whales daily. A little windy this far north on the island but really a great spot.

We stayed for 9 days and had a great time. Very satisfied with the view and furniture. We were especially happy with the large bathrooms. Only downside ws we had a large number of 1 inch long bugs I would call cockroaches...not sure what they were.

The location on the property was very nice with wonderful views of the ocean. It wa short walk to the swimming pools, about a 4 minute walk to a body-surfing beach, and a 10-15 minute walk to Kapalua Bay where the snorkeling was perfect. No one bothered us and despite the large number of buildings in the complex, you felt like you had the whole place to yourself. Perfect layout for our group of 6. Some of the features of the villa could use some upgrades (the tile and grout in the bathrooms looked to be from the 1970s), but everything was clean and tidy. The free Kapalua Bay Resort shuttle was also very handy and a nice feature. I'd stay there again, although I would look to see if anything was available that was right on the ocean.

We much enjoyed our rental, the location is great and the view from the unit is lovely. Snorkelling in Kapalua Bay (a 5 minute walk away) was the best (better than the boat tour we took to crowded Molokini!), and Napili Bay and two other popular beaches are all within a few minutes walk. The unit itself is a nice size and well appointed, little things like salt & pepper & paper towels & laundry detergent were appreciated. The negatives for us were a very soft master mattress past it's prime & in need of replacement, and a need for better curtains (black out) to block out the buildings outdoor lights shining into the bedrooms. It was also not possible to take a bath as the bathtubs don't plug properly and are too oversized for the hot water heater tank (meaning 3 inches of hot water max). That said, we still had a great time and hope to be back soon!

Yeah - we had a really great time. The condo was very nice. Location was excellent. Easy walk to several beaches. For us - we did the XTerra World Championship triathlon - was an easy walk to that area as well - location excellent. Roomy - comfortable for 6. Pool was very nice, and there were 2 very nice grilles to be used for cooking out. All in all - super great accomodations and we could not have been more pleased.

The condo was great. We didn't spend a lot of time there since we were out having fun. The only negative is that the master bed is saggy and really needs to be replaced. It was great for our family of four.

Our family of four stayed in this unit for seven nights and were greatly impressed with the location and the unit itself. It is spacious, very clean and well maintained. Love the taste in furniture and the paintings on the wall. It certainly helped us to relax. The wifi in the unit initially did not work but was quickly fixed by Lonnie after we called. Other than that, we give the place a five star! One minor issue, there are three lights outside the unit that are controlled by HOA. The lights make the bedrooms too bright for sensitive sleepers.

This was a fantastic rental for our trip to Maui. kapalua is much quieter than other areas of Maui and the walking trail along the ocean is very close to the unit. We loved it!

We love the location of this unit because there is a large grassy area for the kids to run around adjacent to the porch. The kitchen was great and the unit was clean. Jake was very attentive to our requests and we felt suitably taken care of. Thanks!

We loved it. They were very accommodating with a crib and highchair for my one year old. Beautiful location.

We were in a jam; at the last minute we included one of our daughter's friend's on our planned vacation trip to Maui. We obviously needed a bigger place then just a hotel room. After searching the VERBO website and sending in an inquiry, within 30 minutes, we received a friendly phone call from the property manager “Jake” and after two subsequent discussions we booked and pre-paid our room. After 25 years of marriage and three trips to Hawaii, it ended up being one of the best vacations ever. The villa was everything that was promised and more, in short it was perfect. Thanks to Jake, it was our best vacation ever! Kapula Bay Villas has excellent facilities, some of the best beaches in Hawaii, beautiful views; we even did whale watching from our villa! Highly recommended.

What you see in the photos is what you get- no surprises! Our villa was lovely and we enjoyed whale watching from the dining room table or the lanais. What we didn't know to expect was how much we loved Kapalua Bay resort area. It really became our home, our town. If and when we come back to Maui we will definitely stay here again!!!!

Two couples rented this unit for 10 days. We found the property manager very helpful, the access to the Ritz wonderful, the views were great--we looked right out to the ocean from each window. As the couple that stayed in the "2nd" bedroom--the beds were great. We did notice that the room could use a little more dresser-top or bedside table space. Thanks for the great place to spend our time in Hawaii.

Had a great time! Liked having different room AC controls; large bathrooms; very comfortable. The view overlooking the ocean was great. A little windy location, but not a negative. Helped keep the property cool.

The condo was in the perfect location for us since we needed to be near the Tennis Garden and the tennis courts. Felt like we were the only ones staying there because of the set up. Great View, great location and great staff. Wish we could have stayed longer. The only thing the complex needs is a hot tub/jacuzzi.

This unit was at ground level with decent views of the ocean. We spotted so many whales it became Ho-Hum to see them yet again! The location was windy but my guess is that's what you get that time of year (Feb/March) at Kapalua. The two master suites were perfect for two couples and when one of our party broke her pelvis on a bike ride (dogs in the road meant sudden braking and she went over the handlebars) on day two, we really appreciated the view and the space. No hotel room or studio could compare. This was a HUGE benefit! She could lounge in the house or on the quiet deck and grassy area and enjoy the views. The kitchen had excellent appliances (I've read about other properties at Kapalua having 30 year old appliances) and a weird assortment of kitchen equipment--how many steak knives does one unit need? I suggest they review the pots and pans, casseroles (again how many of these does one need) but no storage containers. The furniture was mostly up to date but the linens and bedding were too well-worn and need replacing to bring them up to what I think Kapalua represents. The nearest swimmable beach was Kapalua--a roughly 6 block walk which was tolerable and no major roads to cross. It was very close to the ocean front nature trail but with no detailed map of the property we found ourselves at dead ends, having to retrace our route. A detailed map of the property would have been nice. The proximity to the Kapalua Spa was wonderful. Good food, smoothies, sandwiches and at a reasonable price for very healthy goodies. And the couples massage package with all day access to the spa was wonderful. Adult only pool, incredible gym, hot tubs in gorgeous surroundings. The massage therapists were excellent. We do go again, go to the unit again in a minute. Nice extras were beach chairs and boogie boards. Thanks all!

Couldn't of asked for a better location than The Kapalua Bay Villas. Absolutely breathtaking property. We were able to walk to amazing beaches. Staff was extremely friendly. Jake and Vicky were by far the best property managers we have ever dealt with. Mahalo

Property is immaculate. However, we sneezed quite a bit. Property needs new air filters and a good dusting & vacuuming. Excellent Furnishings.

Great stay with a group of friends. Nice ocean view from the lanai. Warning though, it is quite windy in Kapalua. Nice compound throughout the Kapalua area. Honolua General Store is nice for cheap quick eats. If you love to golf, this is the place to stay because you do get discount rates for the Plantation Course and Bay Course. Will visit again!

The views are great. Saw whales from the lanai. The only issue is that the 2nd lock needs to be fixed in the spare bedroom outside door...The beds were comfy. Wish there was a grill on the lanai...easy walk to Kapalua Bay.

Great location in Kapalau bay. Not right on the water, but only a short walk to a great costal trail. The Ritz was nearby and an easy walk with access to the pool. By far the best beach in Maui (Kapalau Bay - right in front of the Ritz Residences and Coconut grove neighborhood) was a quick 5 minute walk. Perfect for snorkeling, floating, swimming,lounging. Our 2 year old loved it! We had a great vacation and the condo was spacious. It is well maintained and was very comfortable for us.

Beautiful location.

There are two very nice size bedrooms with two big baths. There is also a third full bath. The dining room has a great view that makes you want to dine in. We did a lot of cooking. Stayed for 11 nights and dine in all 11 nights. There is no maid service and they don't really restock the basic necessities so make sure to bring all that you will need and there won't be a problem. The AC in the master bedroom was broken...which made it hard to sleep in that room. Make sure that it get fixed before you rent it. The condo was clean but a little out of date. All together, we had a nice stay.

We had another wonderful vacation in Maui. Our experience at the Bay Villas was pleasant. Jake our property manager was most helpful with any of our needs, often going the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed out stay. Our only complaint would be the Villa lacked certain things ie. tupperware, condiments, beach mats and children's beach toys ( we left ours hoping someone would be able to enjoy them as we did). I understand these are minor requests, but they would help us enjoy our stay that much more.

Rented two condos, one was very clean and comfortable. The other, well it was dirty (windows) and there were issues with the air conditioning. Asked to have the windows cleaned, as this was the one we rented on the water. Family\'s goal was to enjoy the ocean view/whales...but the glass had much water stains and hard to see through. Asked to have them cleaned, they cleaned the windows of the adjacent condo. Never was able to get the AC under control, thermostat read 96 degree, which had the AC on all day/night. Made a few calls and attempts were made, however, to no avail.

Glass all around the dinind area was fabulous. The beds were excellent. The secluded beach was beautiful, no crowd at all. Kitchen area was not properly cleaned. The rice cooker was not cleaned. We found trash in drawers in the chest next to the living room TV.

We have been to Maui three times now, and this Bay Villa condo was by far the best. The view was breathtaking, and the place has been well maintained. One minor quibble: this condo does not have wireless internet. Instead, it has a cable modem that you can plug into your laptop. I would recommend to the owner to pony up $50-100 to by a router for wireless connection. We were able to get on other condo's wifi connections, but the signal strength was weak. I make this an issue because most people, like us, have grown accustomed to wifi. Still, this is a minor criticism to another wise truly beautiful condo.

My family of 4 has just returned from staying in this unit. We have been to Kapalua 17 times in the last 22yrs and this is one of the very best units we have had. Well located, an easy walk to the Kapalua Bay Beach, very private (no one walking in front of the unit - very common with the Bay Villas), near the swimming pool area but far enough to not hear any noise from the pool. We very much appreciated the sand chairs, and boogie boards that were in the unit. The second bedroom has twin beds, so it was great for my college age boys. (No one had to sleep on the sofa bed). Kapalua remains the premier property in West Maui and this is a fabulous unit at Kapalua.
