The home has not been occupied for awhile and upon entering mid afternoon it was very hot inside, got up to 80 degrees and the AC would only be set up cool to 72 degrees but unfortunately was not catching up. They responded with a portable AC but that takes up the one room and my family with a small baby and being pregnant could not wait for the home to cool down so we had to leave. They told us maintenance would be in the next day. The manager stopped by and said the unit was cooling fine but that was after running the AC all night. We returned but would not get cooler than 75 degrees so the living areas were uncomfortable. We would have to leave during the day to avoid the heat and we could not use the one room since it was blowing the cold air. There was some light fixtures and other small things that needed to be fixed but mostly we had issues with the AC. Wish we could have had negotiated a better alternative but my family was tired of moving around and scrambling last minute.
Aloha Macia. Our team was in the unit earlier on your arrival day for cleaning and preparations. To ensure your comfort, we left the AC on. It's common for the late afternoon sun to warm the room a bit. However, adjusting the thermostat as you did inadvertently set it to the "vacancy" mode, which maintains a temperature of 80 degrees. The system would have cooled the space if it remained at 72. When alerted, our team arrived promptly that evening to correct the thermostat and provided additional portable AC units in case the main AC was malfunctioning. The next morning, our inspection found the condo at a comfortable 72 degrees. Upon your return, and another call about the AC, we found the thermostat had again been set to "vacancy.” Our commitment to guest satisfaction is paramount. Hence, we offered an alternative relocation or a complete refund if you chose to shift to a unit that better suits your needs. Regrettably, your request for a full refund while continuing to occupy the condo was not feasible.We genuinely tried addressing each concern, including multiple visits to guide on thermostat usage and providing supplementary ACs. It's unfortunate that our efforts are overshadowed by this review, which seems motivated by our inability to meet the particular refund request.We are sorry for the inconveniences you faced but believe we did our utmost to address them. The central AC system was working if used properly.
Everyone was responsive and helpful, all the staff were wonderful.
This was our first time to Hawaii and we were celebrating a "big" birthday and anniversary. I am quite fussy about where I stay, especially needing it to be quiet. This property was clean, quiet and had the most spectacular view I have ever seen. I would stay at the same property if we go back, or use Parrish for other island properties.

Very beautiful place. Great view. Very quiet and peaceful. It was almost too good to be true a nice everything was. Place was very clean and local to the area where we always stay. Has to be one of the best times I have stayed on the island. I will definitely be coming back!!!
Kapalua Golf Villa
Very quiet Bit away from the ocean, could not walk to the beach. The amenities inside the unit were subpar. Beds are not comfortable. Have stayed at other places for much less and the units were nicely furnished. Supplies in the kitchen below average
Great view and location, needs upgrades and no cockroaches
After driving the whole island this is one of the most beautiful areas on the island. The view is definitely stunning and gives you incentive when waking up and coming home. The unit has an outdated feel to it but was clean. Management communication was great and was very responsive when we reached out with emails during our stay. They have beach chairs, bogie boards, and an umbrella that we put to good use. That was a great feature of this unit and made beach trips more enjoyable. We would stay again if certain changes were made. First, the AC is regulated, you can adjust it but that doesn’t mean it comes on. The majority of our time there the main room would not get below 74 no matter what you set it at. The AC display screen literally tells you that the compressor won’t come on for a couple minutes. We reached out to the management and again they were very responsive and had a maintenance man out within minutes. We’ve stayed at other VRBOs and they maybe a certain temperature they don’t want you setting it to, which is understandable. But, controlling when I can turn on the AC after coming home after a long day at the beach and the Sun. It’s not a good feeling when it’s actually cooler outside than inside. Their customer service and attentiveness was 5 stars for sure. Second, when getting in and unpacking we noticed that there was a cockroach trap behind the dresser, which was a little unnerving. It did give us fair warning though, it was confirmed that they did indeed have a problem when my wife found a good sized roach in our shower the next morning. We again reached out and management did get back quickly and when we returned to the property later that day the solution was that they left us another cockroach trap. Not exactly the response one would be hoping for when staying at a resort of this caliber.
Third, their use of the word “short” walk to 4 beaches is a false claim. At best it's 20 minutes down a long hill which I’m sure would have been fun walking back up after a day at the beach. Also that’s not taking into account schlepping all your beach gear so that would make it an even longer unenjoyable walk. So walking to the beach isn’t really practical, driving down with all your gear and then trying to find a spot to park is closer to reality. Fourth, and probably most important, the mattress. The mattress is terrible, it looks like the old thin cheap mattress you had as a kid at summer camp. We just slept on the couch.

We do know the afternoon sun this time of year can be quite strong and recommend leaving the curtains drawn when no in residence to help the AC keep the place cool. We apologize on the extra guests. They are part of our world and rest assured the exterior and interior is treated regularly, but sometimes they are more active. We had a great time at Kapalua ! Beautiful views of pool, property , which is just beautiful with all the fantastic gardens and most importantly, the Ocean!!! Minutes. Walk to pools and 15 mins walk to beach. The shuttle service was great and picks up in minutes from calling them. Very handy to get around whole resort. The pictures and description very accurate. The property was well maintained and very clean and we had great service from property manager. So much to do at this resort! Hiking trails, paddle board and snorkelling at Kapalua Bay beach where they have chairs, umbrellas and water sport equipment for rent . Our villa came totally equipped for beach visits with beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and boogie boards. One comment I would make is that it would be nice to have a chaise lounge on balcony and pillows and mattresses could use upgrading. Overall, a wonderful stay!,

Golf villa stay
Great location, pictures on website accurate. Mattresses and pillows could use updating, but otherwise, very well equipped condo, nice big balcony and beautiful views of pool, grounds and especially the ocean!!
We would have loved a chaise lounge to lay out on balcony, but table and chairs and wicker sette set were very nice. And beach chairs and cooler very handy!
Property manager very helpful. We had a late flight home and she was helpful with a late check out. We love staying at Kapalua for the beauty of the grounds and the quietness.. easy walks to pools and beach and shuttle service great. We loved doing aĺl the great hiking trails along the ocean and enjoyed restaurants and the Honolulu store great food and did all our souvenir shopping there! I highly recommend it. The check in and long lines to get through customs at the airport meant we had no time for any shopping at the airport and that was going 3 hours before flight time !

So much potential but needs a refresh
This property has tremendous views, and the grounds are spectacular. We appreciate that it had multiple pools. This particular unit though needs some serious love. The kitchen doesn’t even have the bear essentials that you would expect in a vacation rental. The outdoor furniture is flimsy. There was a glass top to a coffee table that was not secured to the table. It shattered on us. The dining room table is also a glass top that is not adequately secured and would be a hazard for children. The beds are ancient and uncomfortable. My suggestion would be to invest in updating the couch, outdoor furniture, beds and bedding, and the kitchen supplies. That would greatly improve the experience at this property.
The apartment was wonderful and the view was absolutely amazing. We had everything we needed and the set up was perfect for two couples. The amenities at the resort were also very nice, especially the free shuttle which made getting around Kapalua a breeze. We really enjoyed our stay.
Kapalua Golf Villa 23V3
We had a great time at the villa. My only comment was the chair cushions were soiled at the dining table and some stains on the couch. I'm only mentioning this so you're aware, otherwise we didn't have any issues. It would be helpful to put a walking map to get to the beach in the unit (we eventually found it but a walking map would be helpful.)
A Good Sojourn
In excellent condition, clean, well equipped and with a lovely terrace, you can't go wrong staying here. Instructions for check in and check out were simple. We four adults were very comfortable here and very much enjoyed our stay.
Great location for walking, running, hiking, and golf. So easy to walk to the little town and have dinner and go to the market. Wish it would have mentioned there are 2 flights of stairs to get up each time you leave the place, but worked fine for our group who traveled. Host had good communication and took feedback well. Cute little area the condo is located in.
Wonderful trip!
We had a great trip. The condo is great - spacious and loved having the beach chairs and umbrella available to use. Also loved having the washer/dryer during our stay. The pool is great as well.
Amazing location! Fabulous view—better than pictures. Great communication with host—Vicky was very quick to respond. Would definitely stay here again!
April Showers
This unit has a spectacular view, spacious and comfortable for 4 peeps. This stay it was very breezy, cool, and lots of rain. The rain provided a soothing overnight sound.
Loved the View
Wonderful week In Maui- close to golf and beaches - we really enjoyed the view from this Kapalua golf villa too! Patio furniture was falling apart so recommend updating patio furniture to fully enjoy the amazing view !
Beautiful view but inside needs updating
This condo is in a great location with a terrific view. Nice area for walking since traffic is light. Numerous pools nearby and only a slight distance from beaches. However, this unit needs updating and repair work. The air vents are suspiciously dirty, one bathroom needs painting to cover previous repairs, curtains are sun rotted in several places, shower heads don't work correctly and fixtures are ancient. Kitchen faucet looks like an after-fit and the water barely reaches one of the two sinks.

Kapalua Villa
Wonderful! Perfect, well-equipped beautiful unit for two couples. Absolutely LOVED everything about the rental and the Kapalua Experience. Only two things, the dryer did not have heat so we had to dry our wet towels in various ways and there were a lot of children in the pools. The children were just being children having fun swimming in the pools, but there should maybe be some quieter adult swim times for the expense people go to go stay in this lovely community.

Beautiful views and great location but needs updating
Old insect traps left under couch and near washer/dryer but visible and gross. 2nd bath needs updating as faucet had mold and light in shower/toilet area didn’t work. Drawer on nightstand broken. Needed vacuuming. Concierge never responded to email about activities.
Love Kapalua!
Awesome views and great location! Lots of things to do in Kapalua and close drive to Kaanapali and other local spots. The condo is perfect for two couples or small family. Large open rooms. Patio view of the golf course and ocean are amazing. Condo had all the needed amenities.
That View Though
This is a lovely condo to share with family or friends . This unit is on the top floor, on the highest point of all the Kapalua Golf Villa condos. The view from here is spectacular, if a bit far from the water. We didn’t mind the distance as it’s a short drive and infinity quieter than beachfront. We loved watching boats sail by during the day and the sun set at night. The Kapalua area is a slice of heaven on Maui: an old pineapple plantation converted to golf courses with extremely low-density housing. The enormous, abundant pine trees are unique to this area and offer shade as well as privacy. The mountain vistas to the east are spectacular and there is very little traffic here, compared to elsewhere on the island. There is no road noise and everything is completely silent at night; we all slept like babies from 10-6 AM. It’s about a 5-minute drive downhill from several excellent beaches that vary in wave size from kid-friendly to surfing/boogie boarding-friendly. There weren’t any boogie boards to borrow at this unit, so we bought some decent ones (i.e., not styrofoam ones that break easily) and left them there for others to use. There is a nice Honolua/ABC store on Kapalua grounds about a 5-minute walk away, as well as the Napili Market (an actual grocery store) within a few minutes’ drive. Costco is by the airport, nearly an hour away. Best to stop there upon arrival. Last thoughts: this unit was updated partially several years ago and it shows its age a bit. That said, it was perfectly adequate, comfortable, and we found its price ($300 or so per night) to be fair for its location and condition. A new remodel would put it well out of my price range, which would be disappointing for my family as we hope to return next year for another two weeks!
Maui Revisited
Location was excellent. The apartment was clean.
The quality of the furnishings was not in line with the cost of the rental (dining chair about to fail, musty draws in second bedroom, towel rack would not stay on the wall, tiles coming loose in bathroom, knives were virtually unable to cut anything).
I would recommend a different property than this one.
This property recently changed ownership. Any existing maintenance issues have been corrected.
Hawaiian Retreat
The condo was spotlessly clean, has large bedrooms and baths. Kitchen well equipped to allow you to eat in if you so desire. View from the lanai was outstanding, the photo do not do it justice. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Mediocre Rental Horrible Management
Perfect location and well maintained grounds, to bad the management staff were horrible and the rental was ran down. Dining table had 3 chairs (one was missing). Balcony table and chairs were filthy, looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. Towel holders in the bathroom fell off the wall, lights didn't work, couldn't control the A/C so had to leave the primases during the day because it got to hot. Tried calling the management company to fix the A/C, they didn't show up for two days after. Missed them when they came because they did not arrive for the 8 am appointment so the issue was never rectified. Dishes were dirty so had to wash them before using anything. List goes on, not a desirable experience considering the cost was over $6,500 for 8 nights.
This property under new ownership and management. All maintenance issues have been addressed.
A perfect location
This condo was perfect for two couples on a 3-week stay. Everything was as described with excellent service from the cleaning staff. Location was perfect for accessing everything from Lahaina to Kapalua. Awesome whale watching from the deck.
