Family Vacation in Kauai

My husband and I have 4 daughters, ages 14 to 19. We spent a week in Kauai and this villa was the perfect place for us! It was clean, spacious, comfortable, and located convenient to restaurants and the beach. We appreciated the extra towels, pillows, and beach gear as well as little things like shampoo / soap, toilet paper / paper towels, salt & pepper and laundry detergent. We have stayed in many vrbo’s over the years and these little convenience make such a big difference! I highly recommend this property and would not hesitate to book there again if we are lucky enough to return to the island.

Wonderful birthday stay

The condo was clean and comfortable with lovely little decor touches, books, and a well-stocked kitchen. The balcony was quiet, had the ocean view pictured, and was a great place to relax. Check-in was seamless and we appreciated the gift recognizing our special occasion. Very happy with our stay!

Perfect condo

We stayed here for 5 days. This condo is clean, up to date, comfortable. Great view from patio. Has everything you need in the kitchen except no keurig, it’s a regular coffee pot, which was not working properly and they came and fixed it for us. There’s lots of towels, beach towels, beach chairs and toys, tennis rackets etc. they have tvs in every room, air conditioner, fans and ceiling fans. This was one of our favorite stays. Only downfall, is it’s on the 3rd floor so when you get there you’ll need to lug up all your luggage 3 floors. But after that.. it’s no issue.

Beds too firm

The heat pump rattles sometimes, the front door often doesn’t stay locked when you push the button. The double beds need a topper to make them more comfortable. Love the landscaping.

Great Location

This condo was exactly as described and even better. The location was perfect…just a short walk to the Poipu beach area for the best sunsets and a few turtle sightings! The condo was clean and very comfortable and the property management was very attentive and went the extra mile for our celebration! The only item to note is that all the doors are louvered…assuming to help the air conditioning flow through condo. We’d definitely stay at this condo again!

If you choose to stay on the South portion of the island this is the place to be. The unit itself was beautiful, spotlessly clean, with the addition of beach towels, chairs and umbrellas for use. The view from our condo was amazing! It is steps away from the most beautiful part of the coastline. We walked to Brennecke’s beach each night to see the giant green sea turtles crawl up onto the sand at dusk to sleep. It is a wonder of nature you will not likely not see anywhere else on earth. Our host reached out several times to ask if we had any needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

A week in paradise

We were so excited when we opened the door of the condo - the view was amazing, and the condo was clean and well stocked with everything from kitchen items to beach chairs. The condo was comfortable and spacious enough for our family of 5. We will definitely be back!

Perfect in Poipu

June 2023 family vacation

This unit is on the top floor ( third floor), so it looks over the roofs of the houses in front of it for a wonderful ocean view. Such a delight to sit on the balcony for breakfast to enjoy the views and listen to the birds. Quiet, well maintained grounds. Such a plus to have boogie boards, chairs, umbrella, and a cooler in the unit. Two beaches very close. Unit comes with fully stocked kitchen. Plenty of toiletries in the bathrooms. Beds comfortable. Wonderful to have airconditioning.

Everything we could have wanted!

Upstairs unit had great view of ocean, and very spacious and well thought out floor plan. AC in both bedrooms and main area(kitchen, dining, couch). Plenty of parking and easy to walk to beach/dinner. Grounds and pool top notch! Appreciated the cooler, bodyboards, and beach chairs for our use. Kitchen was set up well, and everything we could want was there! Very nice place. Totally recommend

Perfect Vacation Home

Nihi Kai 521 met all of our expectations. There was plenty of room for our family of five and had everything we needed for the 10 days we were in Kauai. The view from our balcony was beautiful and we could watch the sunset there every night. It was a quick walk to both Brennecke and Poipu Beaches. Access to the Heritage trail was also easily walkable. We would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable stay that is close to the beach. We had several issues during our stay, but appreciated the quick responsiveness of the host to correct the issues. Pros: -Just a block from the beach -Beds are very comfortable, some of the most comfortable of any Airbnb I’ve stayed in! -Good shower pressure -Very responsive staff -Clean Bathrooms -Great air conditioning throughout the unit -Plenty of room for our family of 5 -Good TV channel options for the kids -Great oceanfront pool that was never very crowded Cons: -Had an ant infestation the first night we checked in and had to throw away all the food we just bought that day and left on the counter. -House was not as stocked as I usually find in an Airbnb. For example we had to buy extra trash bags, laundry detergent, cooking oil, etc. -Parking lot was full one night and we had to park on the street -General upkeep of the unit could have been better. Carpet could be vacuumed better, sliding doors and screen doors frequently off jams, battery in the master safe was low and beeped all night out first night. Messaged the host and they sent someone out right away to take a look at the screens and doors, replace the battery in the safe, and spray the kitchen for ants.

Mahalo for your review and feedback.  We are so happy that you had a comfortable stay.  Had we known that you needed additional trash bags and other supplies, we would have gladly brought some over.  However, for cleanliness and the safety of our guests especially during the pandemic, we do not leave any open cooking supplies or other food items in the unit. Very beautiful place. The locations is excelente to enjoy quick access to beaches. Walking distance from local restaurant (no a lot but some). Puka dogs are close by. We love the facilities, the condo and attention to details. We will love to come back in the future

Spring break-family time

???? It was very nice and comfortable. This one also has AC. And 2 B/ 2 B. Close proximity to Poipu beach and several places to eat within a mile if you like to walk – There is a pool onsite We enjoyed our stay here. I would stay here again and also recommend it to anyone

The app provided the actual information on how to find our keys. Luckily, someone was in the main office that helped me find the office where the keys were.

Good location

Fabulous

What a great villa! We loved our week in 521. What did we like? It has a great cheater view of the ocean, just like in the photo. Not perfect but funny how we ended up sitting outside on the lanai all the time. During our stay we hosted another family for dinner. There were 8 of us. The space was more than accomodating. We liked 521’s privacy at the top of the stairs… there was no foot traffic to encroach. The bathrooms and kitchen are quite new, and the open concept kitchen just makes things feel bigger. Not great was the front bedroom’s temperature in the evening. If we didn’t close everything off (it accesses the front lanai), it would get really warm. Also, the carpet is a little tired. Finally, the proximity to Brenecke and Poipu Beach is excellent. Just a short stroll (2-5 minutes). We moved on to a property on Maui. Newer and more pristine, but way smaller without the view. We missed 521, and look forward to visiting again.

What a great condo!

What a great villa! We just spent 7 nights and loved our time. It was really big, with a great view of the water, spread out for privacy, and removed from the hustle and bustle up on the top floor. The front bedroom would get a little warm, but we closed doors and curtains there for afternoons and negated the problem. Otherwise the temp was great. Tennis courts are excellent, bbq’s well maintained. And its just a short walk to Brennecke’s and Poipu Beach. We’ll be back!

Great Family Experience

We had a great time here. We liked the readily available combination of beach and warm pool. This property is also very convenient to many of the “must see” places on Kauai, as well as close to some really great restaurants. All in all, we would definitely like to come here again.

Great, as always

We’ve stayed at Nihi Kai numerous times in the past. We had originally booked another condo through Parrish and after arriving on the island requested to change our lodging to Nihi Kai. Parrish was extremely accomodating and fulfilled our request immediately. As always we totally enjoyed our stay at Nihi Kai and would certainly recommend it to others who are planning a visit to Kauai.
