The place was very clean, and surrounding area was beautiful. Communication with the management company was easy, quick and friendly. Note that if you cook at the home bring seasonings. There wasn’t any salt or pepper. Beautiful place to stay. We can’t wait to return.

We really enjoyed our stay here. There are a couple of reasons for the four star review, none of which is a deal breaker, just things I wish we had known in advance. First, the upstairs neighbor\'s kids were loud. We had left our four kids at home with their grandparents for this trip so we were hoping for some peace and quiet. We would definitely stay here again, but wished the kids were not so noisy. They ran around by our back porch playing with water guns, played on the outdoor stairs that led to the unit upstairs, and generally sounded like happy kids, but anyone on a "mom and dad only" vacation can understand how that could be irritating when you\'re trying to enjoy a quiet morning on the porch with some amazing coffee in paradise. The air conditioner was only in the master bedroom and main living space, so the second bedroom and the bathrooms were warm and humid. The thermostat was also on a weird timer we couldn\'t figure out. I think it was an eco bee and we would set it to a cooler setting and it would only stay that way for an hour, so during the night, we would get warm and have to wake up to go set it cooler again. Both toilets were running the entire time, but the master toilet was the worst. It wouldn\'t flush without taking the tank lid off to reseat the gasket and the flapper mechanism would get stuck in the open position, so we primarily used the second bathroom, which although leaky, actually flushed. A super small critique was that the windows in the master bathroom shower were not covered, so at night when the lights were on, neighboring units could definitely see in. Some sort of window privacy cling to allow in light but not see details would have been nice. The last thing would be the coffee and supply situation. I think we just needed to understand more clearly that it was up to us to supply toilet paper, coffee, sugar, etc for our stay beyond the starters they gave us. There are so many great things about this place. The location was perfect. It was surrounded by mountains and beauty, though the unit itself did not have a view of those from the windows, but taking a walk outside you could easily see them. Princeville is a very active community. Lots of sidewalks, golf course, people riding bikes, etc. The grocery store and restaurants are within a 3 minute drive. Lotus Garden was delicious for dinner (honey walnut shrimp) and The Spot was great for breakfast. There's also a gas station in the same area as the restaurants and grocery store. It's also close to a scenic lookout point and Hanalei Bay. The unit itself was an open, split floor plan with a nice dining area, sectional couch, spacious porch with furniture, and great kitchen, including a dishwasher. The master bathroom was huge. The natural light coming in from the multiple floor to ceiling sliding glass doors and front door make you feel right at home. The master bed was on the softer side but was comfortable. We were there for my best friend's wedding. The night before her wedding, her and her sister stayed in the guest room and the beds were small (I think smaller than twin?) but comfortable. The only complain there was not having AC in the second bedroom. There were tower fans in both rooms as well as ceiling fans which made things more comfortable. The Parrish Collection coffee was fresh and delicious. We REALLY enjoyed the coffee everywhere we went on the island (including the local coffee plantation) but having that there was a nice touch. There is also an in unit washer and dryer, which definitely came in handy for us. Overall, we would definitely stay here again. We loved the place despite some of the critiques. The apartment was clean and spacious. The location was close to a mall that has a grocery store and restaurants. The small bedroom did not have ac so we had to leave the door open to the living room. For those that need to sleep in a cooler room it may be a problem.

Exceptional location with excellent amenities! Sparkling clean home with attention to details: towels, beach gear, hand soap, iron, & washer and dryer. Very nice stay!!! This home was decorated well and functional. Beautiful, comfortable stay!!

Overall good!

This was a very clean condo with most of everything we needed! The garage was full of all we needed for the beach from Boogie boards and an ice chest, to sand toys for the kids. The only thing I wish we had more of was beach towels- there were only 4. Also, the we have staid in precious condos at this property that have had a much better equipped kitchen. Such as spices, shelf safe condiments, laundry soap, etc. not a huge deal but was definitely nice to have at the other places we have stayed.

All of the units are stocked with bathroom tissue, laundry soap, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, and other items to get you started. Gorgeous property but........

This would be 5 star EXCEPT for the fact there were maggots. I rented for my son, his wife and 2 adult children. He texted me pics of the maggots. They swept them up but they appeared again. Last day there was a huge cluster of them on the bathroom floor. They were on kitchen floor, bathroom floors, and entryway at different times, After the big cluster I emailed the property manager. She did respond promptly and said they would send a cleaner but I got the hint she was placing the blame on the renters (not true). My family did NOT leave food laying around. The maggots were there from day 1. The cleaner left a note which to me insinuated it was our fault. I emailed the manager my displeasure with a copy of the cleaner’s note attached. Never heard a word back. This was really a lovely unit and if the maggot situation had been addressed a little better this could easily have been 4-5 star. The maggots were disgusting.
Aloha Sandra, we are truly sorry about what you experienced. However, there are two sides to the story. We got the email the day before your son was to check out about finding the “white worms”. When we called the unit to gather more info, your son stated that “they did not generate a lot of trash and had not taken any out since they arrived” on the 23rd. This was over a week and we recommended he take it out. Our Senior Property Manager did go to the unit to inspect that afternoon and found a trash can 2/3 full of trash, including a rotting pineapple core and more “white worms”. We removed the trash, sanitized the trash can and left a note explaining what we had done. Unfortunately, in the tropics one cannot leave trash for an extended length of time. It does seem we addressed the issue timely (same day) and appropriately (removed them), but we are sorry you are disappointed. Lastly, we have not had any other reports of problems since. Mahalo.

Beautiful. Peaceful place

Beautiful, peaceful place. Air conditioner broken. Should be compensated for less accommodations than paid for.

We wish we could have gotten it repaired prior to your arrival, but the part was needed from the mainland. Beautiful

This condo was very clean and spacious. Lots of beach equipment in garage and nice grounds. We did have a difficult time finding it however. We arrived in Lihue very late at night so was a long drive and hard to see the road signs and house numbers.

Beautiful

Everything we could possibly want. Easy to get to, well furnished, 2 furnished patios and nicely furnished inside as well. We used it as our base, the rest of our family was staying in a house within walking distance. Worked out very well.

Lovely and Comfortable

Nice, comfortable property. Only one of the bedrooms has a/c–this is buried pretty far down in the property description. (That seems normal for the Plantation properties, for some reason.) The condo gets pretty warm in the late afternoon, even in the air-conditioned bits, but cools down fairly well at sunset. Overall, very comfortable and convenient property. We’d love to return!

Plantation1711

We enjoyed staying in both Princeville and at the Plantation. The condo was very clean and quiet. We had plenty of space and it was well supplied. Having shampoo, conditioner and other supplies was a wonderful touch. We would recommend this unit to all. Hats off to Parrish Collection for taking such good care of us.

Amazing property!

The property was exactly as described and we had a very comfortable stay. The property managers were helpful and accommodating…there when needed and allowed us our privacy. The property had a supply of TP, PT, Kleenex, bath gel, shampoo and conditioner – enough for our entire stay. (bring or buy extra body lotion!) The kitchen had dishwasher packs, dish soap and bottled cleaners (under the sink). There was also a supply of coffee filters, ziplock baggies, saran and tin foil which came in handy. I would suggest scoping out what the unit offers before going shopping so you don’t buy what you don’t need. Sign up for a Makai card at the grocery store to save money. One laundry detergent pack was supplied. We bought a bottle and left it for the next guest. Wifi went out while we were there but the property managers were on it immediately and had it rectified quickly. The garage…had everything you needed…coolers, beach chairs, etc. The unit felt safe and secure, was extra clean and accommodating. We will stay at The Plantations again, and hopefully this property, if available, for our next visit. **Love Kauai**

Wonderful Condo! Felt like home.

We enjoyed the condo for the two weeks we were there. The ability to use the garage was a huge plus along with the electric BBQ. The rooms were quiet and the setting superb. We had to move a DVD player from one of the bedrooms for the family room and had to connect and reconnect the wires to switch from TV to DVD but managed. The only negative was the garden tub in the master bedroom. The tub is huge and quite a step over when taking a shower! Otherwise, we would all recommend this condo.
