Comfortable Condo Getaway

Our condo was a comfortable week long getaway. We love watching the sunset from the balcony. The rooms are large with comfortable furniture and bed. The portable air conditioner in the bedroom makes the humid hot nights easy. Property is well maintained and in a good location on the south shore of Kauai. We have stayed at this complex in the past and will stay again.

Definitely would stay again.

The location was perfect for walking access to beaches, food, shopping, and ocean side sunsets.

The property and pool were well maintained and clean.

There was never a crowd at the pool and the property was peaceful and quiet.

Lovely, roomy unit

These visits were our 4th and 5th rentals with Poipu Kapili (PK). Parrish and the PK staff know how to manage properties and make visitors feel welcome. Unit #38 is a lovely unit with plenty of room. Agree with other reviews that the lanai umbrella and closed louvered doors will reduce the living area afternoon heat. This was important especially in September! We appreciated the welcome basket with coffee/teas and the Britta pitcher, which reduced our bottled water purchases. Very convenient location, beautiful views. We don\'t mind the roosters! This side does get more street noise and dirt but we would stay here again.

Beautiful large condo and the home was decorated in the aloha vibe. We felt at home once we walked in. Everything we needed was there and more! Well cared for condo and very comfortable and spacious. So enjoyed our stay! We went to the Friday morning coffee and pastries. What an amazing team that hosted. It’s clear they loved their careers and answered all of our questions. Felt such a great connection. Thank you and we will be back and also look at other properties you manage too!

The location is great. You have great ocean view. Beach is not walking distance but only a short drive, 3-5min from Poipu beach and Shipwreck beach. The condo itself is really nice. The furnishings are updated. There is portable ac in the bedroom which is really nice. I like that they also provide beach accesories like beach chairs, boogie boards, cooler etc. Parking is limited but you have 1 designated parking. All in all great stay and great location in Poipu.

Large, clean, well maintained apt with a great view of the ocean and the pool from the balcony. We even saw a whale breaching whilst having dinner outside. Very convenient location and close to everything in Poipu. Would recommend and would stay again.

This was a nice rental in a nice area of Poipu. The pool and BBQ area are pleasant. You\'re close to most things. Front desk staff (Patty) was very helpful and quick to respond to questions. Cons: Need to bring your own basic cleaning products to clean counter after cooking No BBQ utensils Very slow Wi-Fi. This is part of the Kauai and no fault of the unit, but every single night the roosters seriously crow throughout the night. Audible still with earplugs.. Kids slept on sofa sleeper in the living room and didn\'t hear the roosters at all. The complex parallels a street that is a teen hangout on most nights. Loud exhaust (or lack of) systems are a must. Frequent burnouts and donuts are normal. That said, we didn\'t feel unsafe and it usually doesn\'t go too late.

This condo is so beautiful. Views of the ocean from the lanai were perfect for morning coffee, and the location is a short drive from beaches and shops. You will love it here!

Poipu Kapili #38

Beautiful unit over looking the pool and ocean. Much bigger and airier than the photos depicted. I was worried about the AC only being in the bedroom but it was more than enough. The unit gets a tremendous cross breeze. We only needed the AC when we slept at night. Beautiful finishes, super accommodating staff. We will miss waking up to the ocean!

Beautifully decorated and well located

This is an end unit in a very quiet property. The owners have wonderful design taste and have outfitted the kitchen w everything you might need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book it again.

Lovely, peaceful and roomy unit.

The decor is tasteful Hawaiian Plantation with beautiful wood moldings throughout. Kitchen was well stocked including quality cutlery. We ate nearly all breakfasts and several lunches and dinners at the unit. The lanai has a terrific ocean view, so we ate all our meals at the table outside. The bedroom is large and there were lots of drawers. Our only complaint is that the unit is not air conditioned as we thought when we initially booked. There is a portable air conditioning unit in the bedroom. We actually never used it once because there were consistent trade winds and we just left the doors open. The front of the unit gets very hot in the afternoon. We learned that if we opened the umbrella on the lanai in late morning, that kept the direct afternoon sun out, so it was more tolerable. Also, there were a couple of large fans that we used to help move the air around, particularly in the kitchen when we were preparing meals. There were backpack beach chairs which we really appreciated as we drove over to Salt Pond Park several days for a calm, wide quiet beach. The only sandy beach within walking distance of the unit is in front of the neighboring Sheraton and Kiahuna Plantation properties. It is narrow and essentially disappears when the tide comes in. Because of the great ocean view off the lanai, we spent many hours simply sitting at the table reading. All in all, we were pleased with our stay and would stay in Unit 38 again.

Poipu Kapili #38

Stayed at this unit mid/end of May. Loved the complex, very adult oriented which we prefer. Although we blew a breaker (too many things running in the bedroom with the A/C on – hair dryer, iron) we learned the breakers are under the painting in the hallway. Response from the emergency number at Parrish was immediate. It was so convenient having them onsite. Booking with Parrish gives you a future discount with their properties. There is a fantastic ocean view from the balcony, despite this being a side unit. The grounds are beautiful, from the large lawn to the landscaping by the pool. Parking is assigned and convenient. Spectacular sunsets. It does get hot in the living room at the time of year we were there, but I don’t think it would outside of the Summer season. This unit is huge – very spacious. We would go back to Poipu Kapili and to this unit.

Nice condo, A little warm in the afternoon condo # 38

My wife and I stayed for 8 nights, great location. great condo, got pretty warm in the afternoon, nice view from balcony. We thought housekeeping did a poor job for the money ($199) just changed the linens and towels

Terrific Value and Location

This is our second stay at this unit. We love that you can see the ocean out of both sides of the condo unit. The unit is very clean and well equipped. They have nice beach towels and beach chairs as well as boogie boards. What we liked the best was that it is across the street from a section of ocean that is frequented by many sea turtles. It is also a very short walk to the beach at The Sheraton, on of the nicest swimming beaches in South Kauai. You can even walk further to Poipu Beach. Caveat: The bedroom faces a parking lot, and there is construction going on next to the condo unit (the construction project seems unchanged since our last stay three years ago!). That said, the unit is tastefully appointed, and the management agency does a nice job making sure you are settled and have everything you need. There is a nice pool and garden area with common gas grills. It was a short, beautiful walk to the shopping area with a good market and some nice restaurants.

Beautiful and Peaceful Experience

My family (husband, daughter and three grandsons) just returned from this beautiful spot. Everything about this complex was wonderful…..from the beautiful manicured grounds, the lovely pool in the center, and the great staff. A special thank you to Morgan, Heather and Pat for going the extra mile for all of our requests. It was so nice enjoying coffee each morning looking at the beautiful ocean, then walking along the coast spotting turtles. The Sheraton Resort is less than a 5 minute walk. It was nice to go over to the Sheraton for drinks in the evening (Rum Fire). The Sheraton has a beautiful sandy beach along with the resort next door to them (Kiahuna Plantation)……but nothing can beat the beautiful grounds of the Poipu Kapili. We are all dreaming about the time we will be able to return to this beautiful spot. Thank you Poipu Kapili for a FABULOUS WEEK IN PARADISE.
