Poipu Kapili #41

I would like to congratulate JP and his team on an outstanding! The property at Poipu was well maintained, and had all the amenities that one could ask for in a rental, including washer and dryer, excellent kitchen and appliances, all the beach gear and picnic equipment needed for the beautiful island of Kauai. His staff was highly attentive and communicated exceedingly well. The check-in and checkout processwas flawless. They do have a AC unit in the master bedroom. Some have previously noted that it was noisy. I did not find that to be problematic whatsoever. In fact, I felt it acted like a white noise filter. The location was ideal for us as it was quiet, scenic, and walkable. There were both restaurants and shopping within walking or limited driving distance. Access to the remainder of the island was pretty straightforward with a car. Parking was included with a numbered space in front of our unit. We had an outstanding week in the garden isle at this beautiful property. Mahalo!

Our stay at Poi'Pu Kapili Resort was terrific. The communication was great and lockbox check-in went as promised. We were able to secure a late 6pm checkout for our 10pm return flight. Amazing. The condo was well outfitted with everything from kitchen items to beach towels, chairs, umbrella, snorkels, etc. The location is great, right across the street from the ocean and just a short walk to the beach. The condo is positioned perfectly for driving excursions to the west or the north coast, all of which is accessible via a short drive. The condo had locking louvered shutters to allow for secure cross ventilation at night while you sleep. There is a portable AC in the bedroom, but didn't really need it. They did have the grass area out front of the ground level lanai torn up for maintenance, which was a bit of an eyesore and dirty, but can't ding them too much for that. Just unfortunate timing. Overall we'd stay there again for sure.

I highly recommend this property. The location makes it easy to access from the airport and also to go to any part of the island- equal distances to west and east beaches and attractions. You can walk to the pool, the beach for sunset, and other beaches for swimming. Within a very short drive you’ll find shops, markets, and restaurants. The property was well appointed for cooking meals if you want to. The air conditioner in the bedroom made sleeping very comfortable. When I return to Kauai I’ll return to this property!

This place was awesome! The location was perfect - right in the middle of everything south beach Kauai had to offer. The place was very clean and well decorated with updated tile, floors, and appliances. The master bed was comfortable with incredible black-out blinds. The AC was a bit noisy, but we got used to it and ended up sleeping 10+ hours a night!! The kitchen was stocked with every utensil one may need. They had chairs and - boogie board for us to use. The place itself is not directly on section of the ocean where you can swim, but a good swimming, snorkeling beach is walking distance east. The staff was super responsive and reached out daily to see if there was anything we needed. We are super pleased by this property. Thanks!

PROS: My husband and I stayed here for ten days. The location is unbeatable (next to the Sheraton, and within walking distance of the Kukuli'ula development, Poipu Beach, and Koloa Landing). The renovated kitchen is very nice and well-stocked, if you are planning on cooking, and the renovated bathrooms are also very nice. We especially loved that it had two full baths and a full-size washer and dryer. The Poipu Kapili complex has a great pool in the middle, and is generally very quiet and peaceful. The hosts are a professional rental company, and they are very responsive.

CONS: If you need air conditioning to sleep, be prepared for the loudest A/C unit you've ever encountered. I tested it, and it clocked in at over 100 decibels (aka, very loud, and not safe for long-term exposure). The rental company sent someone to look at it, but they said that was "normal" (it's not, for this type of A/C unit). The mattress was also old/cheap and very "boucy," so it moved anytime one of us got up.

The condo was great! We had a lovely time. The location is terrific. The AC worked really well cooling the bedroom down at night. It should be noted that there is only AC in the bedroom and the rest of the place gets quite hot. Regardless, we had a fantastic time and I would love to stay at this condo again!

Everything is awesome. Location is amazing - basically on the water. Condo is great. Clean, comfortable, modern. Patio is perfect as are the grounds and pool. Will definitely return. Five stars!
