The location is fantastic, very close walking distance from the shopping center and not too far to walk to the beach too. Condo was nice, clean, and very spacious which made it easy to work remotely with the family. The A/C in the room made it comfortable to sleep. Pool on the property was relaxing too and had a small kids pool which was great. Only downside was the construction happening right outside the unit that we weren’t warned about before which made it difficult to work and have the baby nap, but the management was accommodating and quick to respond. Minus that, it was a wonderful stay and would definitely return again.

Overall a nice stay and would return. We felt like the price was fair but would be more comfortable with a few updates.

Pro’s: quiet peaceful setting. We could walk to the corner for restaurants, coffee and drugstore. The lanai is great to sit out on. Kitchen is nice and usable. In general the furniture was in good condition and very nice looking. Quick 3 min drive to the little cute town of Koloa. Has a bedroom AC which was lovely and made sleeping comfortable. Bed was very comfortable, nice mattress. Clean.

Considerations: shower could use an update. It’s an older blue/ greenish color with some staining. Would prefer a shower curtain that’s curved out so the curtain doesn’t touch you when showering since they aren’t regularly washed. The couch needs to be replaced due to excessive stains. The carpet seems to be due for replacement, as well. WiFi did not work.

We tend to look for moderately priced places and clean when traveling and don’t expect high-end accommodations.

Fantastic stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The unit is very clean and spacious! Great location within walking distance to shopping and dining. We rented a car during our stay and never had trouble finding parking. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare your own meals. We also appreciated having a washer/dryer in the unit. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful! We hope to be back soon!

Disaster

The microwave was ancient, 2 coffee makers were broken. The vent above the toilet flooded on Christmas night so we needed an umbrella to go to the bathroom. We had to slam the door to get it to shut. The AC unit in the bedroom was too loud. The ad said heated pool and hot tub when in fact it was freezing cold and the so called hot tub was a kiddy pool, also freezing. The men's room was locked at the pool because someone had to spend the night in there for some reason. We had to call for a handiman 4 times. We were really disappointed for the price.

Aloha Cheri, We are so sorry your trip was a “disaster”. We quickly got you a new coffee maker and microwave. We are not sure the reasoning behind the pool bath being locked, but glad we got it open for you. Not sure were you got the pool was heated as it is not, nor do we advertise it as such. Nor do we advertise that there is a hot tub. What happened next was out of our control and unrelated to your stay.  . Per your text/photo to us: “We are at the hospital in Lihue, my boyfriend ruptured his Achilles tendon.”. Then, the flooding from the unit above was certainly unexpected and out of our control.  In the end, I am glad we moved were able to move you to a new with a refund for the trouble.  We understand that there was an bunch of odd events and are sorry that it all happened but think your review is a reflection of that and not the unit itself.  We hope your boyfriend’s leg is better.

Beautiful condo! The pictures do not do it justice! I had an issue getting in & the support team was so helpful & checked back to make sure everything was good! Garden Oasis

I enjoyed my stay here! The condo is very spacious and comfortable and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. It has Hawaiian decor and many windows with screens that you can leave open for a cool breeze. The lush grounds are beautiful and I enjoyed the Koi pond. The location is great and just a 5 minute drive down the road to poipu beach. The only issues were I found that it was very expensive (even for Hawaii) and Parrish is not a real person that you see on Airbnb but a management company called the Parrish Collection. They get you to sign a separate rental agreement for your stay through their company. They were very responsive though!

This place was a sanctuary. Very spacious, clean, well stocked. The actual condo was better than advertised. We prefer to stay near the beach, but having said that we loved this place. It feels like you are staying in a forest once inside. Very good location- near to Koloa and great restaurants and also to Poipu Beach. Parrish property management does a great job and are easy to deal with. Will definitely be back!

Edith and Ron's Apartment

The location in Poipu was very convenient. It allows you to access any direction, close to the beach with great walking trails. The apartment itself was extremely well decorated with all the amenities you need and very clean. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Property Management staff made check in very easy. Only suggestion is the property needs a jacuzzi. Thank you all very much!

Great stay. The unit was well equipped and even nicer than I expected from the photos. Bed was comfy. We loved having the porch to eat on. Convenient location—minutes from beaches and shops and about an hour to Waimea canyon. We appreciated the cooler that we could take with us on day trips. The pool area was a very nice option for breaks from the beach. Communication was a little intense—we got both emails and texts for every piece of information, and contact was more frequent than I would have liked. We also had to respond to things multiple times or it seemed like they wouldn’t receive the Info. The complex was also a little noisy—lots of people getting up early (like 4:00) and animals making noise throughout the night (like roosters) and the unit isn’t well soundproofed so if you are a light sleeper I would suggest earplugs or a noise machine. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!

Poipu is definitely one of our favorite areas to stay while ok Kauai. This is the second time we’ve stayed at Waikomo Stream Villa (different rentals) and we absolutely love the feeling of being in a somewhat little tropical hideaway. I loved having more than just a bedroom and a bathroom, such as is the case with most hotels. The place was clean, comfortable, it was easy to get an extended check out so we could do more before leaving the island. We were pleased with the villa.

Peaceful property; would stay again

Our first impression was surprise at how spacious the unit is. The lanai overlooks a peaceful stream, and in the morning you are awakened with the sounds of birds and other animals. The grounds of the property are lush with a variety of tropical plants. The unit is not air conditioned, but even during our late-May stay we found it comfortable. We found the unit very quiet and calming. The entire property was generally quiet and uncrowded. We visited the pool and were only met with a couple of other guests, making for a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. We had a couple of minor issues during our stay, which the property manager was quick to resolve. Worth noting: as of May 2018 the living room furniture is newer than that pictured in the VRBO ad.

Beautiful inside and out!

Waikomo Stream Villas were in a great spot to get to all the shopping and restaurants within a couple of minutes. Furnishings were very nice, kitchen was stocked with all you needed for a proper meal, and bedroom had more than enough drawers/closet space. The birds chirping (and the roosters crowing) in the mornings were a wonderful way to wake up every day. The villas themselves had a feeling of seclusion, and the grounds were beautiful including a pond stocked with koi and a stream (Waikomo) running through it. The only problem with all the plants and trees were the many pods and twigs falling onto the car, but no damage to the vehicle. Certainly not a deal breaker. Since the units are close to each other, sounds carry easily, but again, not a deal breaker. Will definitely stay again!

A Little slice of Heaven

Pros: Efficiently run, quiet and clean,everything you could imagine provided for! Cons: Nothing! Location: Good food and entertainment all within minutes of the room. Drive or walk to dining or drinking! Great Location , quiet clean and very friendly. SPA was not heated no controls found to turn it on. Pool was clean and refreshing! Manager was very sweet and on top of her JOB to make us happy! I forgot to ask her about the SPA Controls. Felt like we knew these people our whole life’s! Frank & Linda

Very good option near Poipu beach

We stayed at a comfortable and very well decorated 1-bedroom condo, all equiped, very silent and the king bed was awesome. Excellent location very close to Poipu beach (by car) and the main malls and restaurants. Pay attention to the fees: the price that appears on the website is NOT the total price you will pay. I’ve paid almost $300 of hotel fees for only 3 nights + an expensive cleaning fee. As the other resorts in the area are even more expensive it ended up being a good option.

Lovely!

Lovely furnishings. All we could want. Very accommodating with our moves from each property. 9th visit! People were very helpful and friendly. Could you work towards reducing the noise from the leaf blowers, edgers and lawn mower – 6:15 in the am in a little much!!

Beautiful place to spend our Wedding & Honeymoon.

Great Place to Stay

I had never stayed at the Waikomo Streams before but as soon as I opened the door to our unit I knew I had made the right choice. The unit was beautiful, clean, well stocked and quiet. The location was perfect. My husband and I had a great time and will be back again.

Fantastic!

Our stay at Waikomo was wonderful. Unit 420 was better than we had hoped for–comfortable, clean, large; new appliances and a well-outfitted kitchen. The location is very good–not far from beautiful beaches and close to shopping, restaurants and grocery stores. Regarding service, the DVD player didn’t work when we arrived; we reported the problem and received a replacement machine the same day. We didn’t have a ton of interaction with the staff, but that was because everything was so well organized. One small recommendation would be to plant a couple more trees in front of the lanai–the road behind showed through the foliage in a couple of spots, and I am a big fan of the garden immersion feel that the villas promote. Overall, we loved it and couldn’t have been happier with the experience and the great value.

I didn’t want to publish a review because I would love to keep this place a secret as much as possible, but I feel the owners deserve a super review- it exceeded all expectations, and they even put a guava birthday cake in the fridge at my husband’s request to surprise me- it is a wonderful place to stay.

Comfortable, lovely hoe

My husband and I had a wonderful, relaxing time in this lovely home. We felt so at home. Everything was provided and we lacked for nothing. We loved hearing the birds sing, the frogs croak and the wind sweeping through the palm trees and beautiful foliage. We spent a lot of time on the lanai; reading, resting, and restoration. My father had died within the week before coming and we needed a place to calm our nerves and feed our spirit. Our home away from home did just that

Great Buy-Great Stay

After hours of searching on the Internet I found the Waikomo Stream Villas of Poipu, Kauai and #420 on the second floor, end unit. When we arrived for our 7-night stay we were more than pleased with our choice. The villa is very large, with up-scale island-type furnishings and updated kitchen and bath. There is no A/C, yet, with the fans on and the windows open the breese is wonderful in the evenings (we were out during the days). I especially loved the well established and large/tall tropical plantings of the interior circle of the buildings. A walking path wanders through the lovely gardens and stream. The plants provide privacy for open windows and the sound of “rain” nightly when the sprinklers come on. The owners have provided a cooler, short beach chairs and a couple beach mats, which we used each day for our island trips. Within a couple days we were glad we selected Poipu as our place to stay since it is central to driving in both directions around the island. It was not important for us to stay on the beach (or pay the much higher rates) so we found the Villa’s to be a perfect selection.
